First Drink: Porcelain High Tea Cocktail (12% ABV), Dark Color.
The sensation upon entry is reminiscent of the coolness of childhood popsicles, enhanced by herbal aromas and invigorating flavors. Notes of cardamom, rose, and citrus add complexity without being overwhelming, with just the right amount of sweetness. It’s perfect for a casual chat with close friends.
Second Drink: Porcelain Mandarin Gin (43% ABV), Clear and Transparent.
I may not be a professional taster, but I’m using a Muji insulated cup to keep the ice longer, thus skipping the process of chilling the glass, washing it, and adding more ice. After pouring it into the cup, I give it a slight swirl to blend with the ice and cold air.
After a moment, I bring it closer; the aroma of juniper berries and other spices I can’t quite name rushes towards my nose and face. I take a sip, and it’s my preferred type—very refreshing, with no overwhelming mix of aromas. The clean juniper flavor is balanced well with the citrus notes, followed by a mild warmth from the Sichuan pepper that spreads through the chest, and finally, the aroma of cardamom gradually releases with each breath.
This drink is also great for solo enjoyment—very straightforward, embodying that moment when you temporarily "shed your identity labels." It’s suitable for those who want a slight buzz while leaving space for contemplation about the week’s events or future possibilities. There’s a sense of calmness in not rushing, paired with a steadfast determination to keep moving forward.
