In 2022 lindsay rose purchased some Cosmos and took this photo. We were obsessed. It so perfectly captures the vibe of Duchess: fun and stylish, but still laid back. Fast forward to today and it is still one of our favourite customer images, so much so that we asked her if we could feature it on a custom skateboard by Edgy Chic Décor 💌 for the Duchess Cafe, and she kindly said yes. Can’t wait to get it on the wall!! 💗💗💗

Duchess lore: Duchess started because we thought a cute and delish bottled Cosmo should exist, and so after a year and a half developing it, Duchess Cosmo launched in December 2020. In October 2021 we had a big decision to make: shut Duchess down or build a factory — there were (and still aren’t) any production facilities set up for our cute and custom glass bottles. You know this next part: we built a whole factory in East Van. Crazy at the time? Absolutely. Good call in hindsight? Hard yes. 💗 The Duchess factory opened in June 2022. November 2024 we realized our factory was too small (LOL) and it was time to upsize to accommodate our growth. So, March 2025 we moved into what was a door factory just a few blocks away in East Van, and that June our new factory opened. All this because of an obsession with a good Cosmopolitan. Which is thanks to the lasting impression of four very fashionable women sipping Cosmos in Manhattan in the late 1990s and early 2000s. So, really, our entire business is because of saucy TV. 🫡

swipe for a funny rumour we heard… and to clarify, Duchess in fact has four paws, big ears, loves tummy rubs, and a whole brand named after her 💗
