TIM HORTONS JUST DROPPED NEW✨ TARTS & MERCH!

Got a sneak-peek at Tim Hortons’ newest drops — from the 100% cotton pajamas (already launched and SO soft) to their new custard tart and pecan butter tart, plus the new chocolate pistachio drinks.

We even turned it into a paint night challenge and asked us to draw a tart 😌 I went with the pecan butter tart, topped with candied pecans, with a lightly savoury tart shell. Perfect with a black coffee.

The Valentine’s merch is seriously cute (those matching donut headbands + wristbands 🫶), and if you need an excuse to stop by — they’re currently running a $1 donut promo which is valid when you buy a hot brewed coffee (until Feb 22)!

ONE FRESHCO RUN IS ALL WE NEED FOR CRISPY SHAWARMA 😌

No specialty store hopping is needed because has everything! Every time I shop here I’m low-key impressed by how stacked their Middle Eastern section is — spices, full-fat yogurt, hummus, spreads, even fresh pita. So of course… shawarma night happened. They even have Ayran (traditional yogurt drink) which is very surprising, but it’s like the best drink pairing with shawarma 😱

The key?
✔️ Yogurt-based marinade (don’t rush it)
✔️ That red sauce spread on the outside of the pita
✔️ A final pan-sear for maximum crunch

Juicy chicken, crispy wrap, zero soggy bites.
FreshCo really said: one stop shop.

// marinade //
2lbs chicken thighs
3-4 garlic cloves, peeled
2 tbsp tomato paste
1/4 cup full-fat yogurt
1 tbsp white vinegar (or lemon juice)
2 tbsp olive oil
1 tbsp shawarma spice
1/2 tsp salt

// red sauce //
1/4 cup oil
1/4 cup tomato paste
2 tbsp ketchup
1 tsp cayenne pepper
1/8 cup water

// assemble //
Pita bread
Spicy hummus (or any spread)
Pickles
Olives

// steps //
1. Blend the marinade ingredient. Marinate the chicken for at least an hour or overnight.
2. Add the red sauce ingredients into a pan, and cook until boil. Set aside.
3. Pan fry the chicken until golden.
4. Cut the pita bread in half. Spread the hummus evenly, and add toppings. Wrap it tightly.
5. Pan sear on pan, and brush a thin layer of red sauce on both sides. Enjoy!
