The Beef Cattle Research Council and Maritime Beef Council welcome Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada’s recent decision to breed the cow herd at the Nappan Research Farm prior to its sale this fall, following concerns raised by both organizations.

📢 Reminder that the 2025 Canada–Nova Scotia Drought Recovery Initiative closes August 31st for livestock producers.

The program supports eligible livestock and wild blueberry producers who incurred extraordinary costs due to the extreme drought conditions experienced in Nova Scotia in 2025.
