We specialize in registered Highland cattle and genetics. We also have angus/jersey cross calves, hens and meat pigs for our farm to table meats.

🐮 The countdown to the Tweed Agricultural Fair is on! Tweed Hungerford Agricultural Fair County Cattle Co. Erinn Po***ck Nick Po***ck Joelle Briggs

Last year was a big milestone for PBW Farms as we proudly brought the first Highland cattle to the Tweed Agricultural Fair’s beef show. It was amazing to see so many people stop by to meet these gentle, shaggy favourites!

This year, we’re coming back even bigger with three Highland coos, and our friends will be bringing two more. That means you’ll have five fluffy coos to meet!

Be sure to stop by, say hello, snap a few photos, and learn more about these incredible animals. We can’t wait to see everyone at the fair!

Friday evening on the farm…

Nick and I were sitting in the front yard, enjoying a quiet evening, when I heard some mooing. It just didn’t sound right. When you know your cattle, you know the difference.

I looked at Nick and said, “Something’s wrong.”

Sure enough, we went to check and found five heifers/cows out in the yard, happily grazing on the grass like they had planned their own Friday night buffet. 🐄🌱😂

Just another reminder that on the farm, you’re never really off duty. There’s always something keeping you on your toes!

🐮💛 We had the BEST time last Friday when a daycare came out to the farm! There were smiles, giggles, and lots of unforgettable moments as the kids met our fluffy Highland cattle and other friendly farm critters. They got to brush the Highlands, hand out tasty treats, and experience the magic of the farm up close! 🥕🐐🐰

We absolutely LOVE sharing these experiences and seeing everyone fall in love with our shaggy, gentle giants. 🥹

Some habits are just contagious… 💦🐂❤️

Apparently, Sunset Moves Like Jagger has decided the water trough isn’t just for drinking—it’s the perfect place to stand and cool off! 😆

Seeing Jagger claim the trough brought back memories of our sweet Gibson, our beloved German Shepherd mix who crossed the Rainbow Bridge last fall. Gibson was convinced every water trough on the farm was his own personal swimming pool. If there was water, you could bet he’d be splashing around in it.

Now, it looks like Jagger is carrying on the tradition in his own Highland way. ❤️

Life on the farm has a funny way of reminding us of those we’ve loved and lost. Sometimes it’s in the biggest moments, and sometimes it’s in something as simple as standing in a water trough.

We sure miss you, Gibby. Thanks for the smiles—and Jagger, thanks for keeping them coming. 🐾🌈🐂
