BearsPaw SEPARATORS® — Draft Clean Water from Shallow Sources

Strainers protect pumps from larger debris but still allow sand, pebbles, and debris to go through to the pump causing wear and tear, while weeds and debris, if present, can suffocate the intake of water flow, leading to cavitation and damage to fire pumps. To help alleviate the potential damage to the pump, the suction strainers need to be suspended at least 24" (60 cm) above the sand or gravel, & 18" (45 cm) below the surface of the water level.

Separators (patented technology) function while resting on sand and gravel in all depths, even in less than 6" (15 cm) as it instantly separates the debris from the water allowing only water into your pump. This process eliminates excessive wear or serious damage to pumps, that normally results in down time with costly repairs or replacement.

The bottom line is that the effectiveness of pump protection (for cavitation, sand, pebbles, weeds & debris) offered by Separators is revolutionary in comparison to that of a strainer, especially when used in shallow natural water sources. So, Separators save you money while strainers cost you money in repairs and for premature replacement of pumps plus downtime.

Your go-bag isn't complete without a power source that doesn't run out.

When evacuation orders move fast, communication is everything. A dead phone is a liability.
This portable solar power bank was built for exactly this scenario:

→ Continuous solar charging — Power replenishes in direct sunlight without stopping to find an outlet that may not exist
→ Carabiner integration — Clips directly to a pack exterior for charging on the move
→ USB-C compatible — Covers modern devices out of the box
→ 5V/2.1A output — Sufficient to charge a phone while it's actively in use
→ Waterproof construction — Conditions during evacuations are not controlled

A go-bag built for wildfire evacuation needs to function for 72 hours minimum. That means lighting, communication, and navigation — all device-dependent. Battery capacity is not optional equipment.

This easy to carry Portable Solar Power Bank charges continuously under sunlight while exploring freely; featuring an easy-to-use carabiner hook, it provides seamless backpack- integration and ideal convenience for outdoor adventures Specs Input: DC 5V/2A Output: DC 5V/2. 1A Solar Charging: 5V/200mA...

The campfire always gets the blame - but here are some unintentional human ignitions that extend well beyond the obvious. Here are the ignition sources most people never consider:

→ Catalytic converters — A parked vehicle idling or stopped over dry grass. Surface temps exceed 400°C. Contact time needed: seconds.

→ Tow chain drag — Metal chains dragging along gravel roads generate sparks that land directly in roadside grass. A common harvest and hauling season risk.

→ Lawnmower blade strike — One rock contact produces a spark cluster at high RPM. Mowing dry grass in low-humidity conditions is a documented ignition scenario.

→ ATV and dirt bike exhaust — Exhaust pipes and mufflers reach temperatures that ignite dry grass on contact. Parking briefly in standing vegetation is enough.

→ Burning barrel embers — Escaping embers from backyard burn barrels during advisory periods, especially with any wind present, travel further than most people expect.

→ Hot ash disposal — Wood stove and fire pit ash that appears cold can retain live embers for up to 72 hours. Dumped into dry vegetation or a non-metal container, it ignites.

→ Sky lanterns and Mylar balloons — Sky lanterns are an open flame by design. Mylar balloons contacting power lines cause arcing that drops burning debris.

→ Angle grinder and cutting disc sparks — Outdoor metal work during dry, windy conditions. The spark trail is unpredictable in wind.
