I realize weâre all hanging onto summer for dear life, and maybe not ready to hear about all the helpful cold & flu herbs.
But I canât wait any longer to talk about Astragalus! We spent FIVE years growing the roots for this tincture, so patience has run out. Iâve wanted this herb for myself for as long as weâve been growing it!
Astragalus is used in herbal medicine to help maintain a healthy immune system, and as an adaptogen to help increase energy and resistance to stress.
Hereâs the important thing to know: astragalus is whatâs called an immunomodulating herb - different from immune boosting. Rather than revving your system quickly to fight infection (like echinacea), it helps the immune system respond appropriately - supporting it when itâs under-active, and helping calm it when its overactive. Itâs a daily, foundational herb.
Astragalus also needs consistent use for a few weeks for best effects, which is the second reason Iâm sharing it now, before the season turns.
If you know fall and winter tend to run you down, nowâs the time to start.
New to tinctures? simply add to a little water. This one tastes sweet & mild.
This small-batch, Ontario grown gem is now available online.
