See you Sunday Oct 25th, last Outdoor Uxbridge Farmers Market Canada (then the market moves to the Arena). It's also "Trick or Treat" day, so enjoy a fun market day! This Sunday is our final offering of the Season - beets, carrots, sunchokes, fingerling potatoes, sweet potatoes, leeks, kale, etc.

Happy Thanksgiving 💝. We give Thanks to live in a Peaceful and Safe Country, Sun, Sea, Land. If you plan to grow garlic for 2027 harvest, it's time to prep and plant. Plant the garlic cloves by end October. Recommend mulch with leaves or straw as forecast is a mild winter. Remove/Loosen the mulch in Spring. Milkweed seeds flying free.. for a Gardener, they take over. Once established, the root is thicker than a thumb n it spreads freely. The blooms are heavenly scented n the seeds are just as pretty. Monarch butterflies are a bonus 😝 Nature's beauty.. 😍

It's Harvest time as the temp is dropping. Time to stock up on the Season's best!!
Hot Peppers.. grill/broil them, put in jar n top with oil, refrigerate n enjoy all Winter;
Or freeze without the oil.
Can also just freeze it fresh for cooking.
Sweet peppers - cut into stripes n freeze fresh. Roast from frozen at high temp.
Can also bbq or broil to char, peel off skin n seeds, n freeze. To serve, thaw n add olive oil, chopped fresh garlic, salt topped with goat cheese on cracker. Awesome n colorful appetizer! See you Uxbridge Farmers Market Canada Sunday 9am to 2pm.. get them now!
