The Donkey Gang 🫏 Annie, Josie, Clyde, and Roscoe—are settling in nicely as loyal guardians of their flock 🐑❤️

Behind every cut of our beef is the grit of a man who had a dream and built it from the ground up.

No grain. No shortcuts. Just real food, raised the way nature intended 🐂🌾

Mike raises the herd, I deal the beef, and the donkeys just got promoted to head of security 🫡🥩🧡

Meeting one of our new guardians before they head north to protect the herd and flock. Calm, wise, and watchful of the wild that roams in the dark. 👀🫡🌙🌚

Spot the farmer 👀 Mike is out checking for new calves in the pasture!

Calving on pasture means healthier moms, stronger babies, and little ones who are up and running in no time. That same strength and vitality carries through to the nutrient-rich beef you bring to your family’s table.

Of course, there are challenges (like teaching curious calves about electric fences… which means a few adventurous bush rescues for Farmer Mike 😂).

One of the most incredible things to witness is how the herd instinctively groups together to protect the youngsters, while nature’s clean-up crew (vultures!) recycle the placentas.

It’s all part of the beautiful circle of life — land, animals, and people connected — so your family can enjoy food that’s healthier for you and the planet. 🌱🥩✨

🌱 What does it mean to be an artisan of the earth?

This phrase came from a neighbour and local artist who recently shared our work with their community. It’s a beautiful reminder of why we farm the way we do: raising animals on biodiverse pastures, rotating herds to heal the soil, and producing nutrient-dense food that’s better for you and the planet. 🌾

🥩 Grass-fed, grass-finished beef available now. Next year: lamb too!
