𝟯/𝟰 𝗕𝗿𝗼𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝗯𝘆 𝗞𝗮𝘀𝗵

Our first calf crop from Kash has exceeded our expectations. Due to his extra frame and stretch, he crossed very well on a couple of our best Kitimat cows, Gosha 313G and Electra 212E. These cows have been extremely productive- we have registered all of their calves to date. The Kash/Kitimat cross is looking very promising after producing these two favorites. Kash's dam lived to be 10+ years old so you can also expect great udders and longevity as well.

𝗪𝗢𝗟𝗙𝗘 𝗠𝗢𝗡𝗢𝗟𝗜𝗧𝗛 𝗙𝗙 𝟯𝟭𝟯𝗠
Monolith is a very quiet, liver red Kash son. His dam Gosha 313M is an impressive cow. Her pedigree is stacked with Kitimat, Geronimo, Sting and Pasta- some of the best bulls we have ever used. Her first calf was Hudson, a current walking herdsire of ours that we use on heifers. Unfortunately, we lost her dam (Monoliths granddam) as a two-year-old, but she was one of the best heifers that year and Courtney showed her at the National YCSA show in Olds AB. Monolith should calve well yet produce big growthy calves.

𝗪𝗢𝗟𝗙𝗘 𝗠𝗢𝗡𝗢𝗣𝗢𝗟𝗬 𝗙𝗙 𝟮𝟭𝟮𝗠
Monopoly is from a very prolific cow, Electra 212E. This cow has a strong record, producing many poster and performance bulls. Monopoly's maternal brother by Gage was our highest performance bull in 2023. She follows her own dam's footsteps, Claire 188C. Claire has an amazing track record as well, raising both our 2022 lead-off bull and a 2024 highseller to Blushrose Simmental Farm. With Kitimat as his maternal grandsire (just like 313M) he should display calving ease alongside muscle capacity from Kash and Claire.

𝗪𝗢𝗟𝗙𝗘 𝗠𝗔𝗜𝗟𝗠𝗔𝗡 𝟯𝟮𝟰𝗠

Mailman has been a standout since he was a young calf. It was not much of a surprise when our carcass ultrasound data came back showing that he has the largest ribeye area in the pen. His sire is Foreman- our pick of the offering from MAVV Farms bull sale that year. Foreman's first calf crop has impressed us with their muscle capacity and we are excited to watch his daughters become cows next Spring.

This big guys dam is a 3/4 sister to one of our donor cows, Cheyenne 885C. Geronimo continues to prove himself as one of the best bulls we have ever owned, with the ability to cross his daughters onto any bull and get a great calf. We have registered all of Georgina 324G's calves. Mailman's maternal sister, Lavender 524L, was one favorite heifers last year. Lot 432M in the sale is a Georgina grandson and heifer bull prospect. 324M has a very good temperament and very good feet under him. He is going to make someone a phenomenal herdsire.

𝗪𝗢𝗟𝗙𝗘 𝗘𝗠𝗔𝗛 𝗙𝗙 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝗘 Cow Family

Emah 202E has both a son and grandson in our upcoming bull & female sale. She is a grandaughter of Cherry Creek Carlsberg. Carlsberg's dam, Andrea, was a cow my Dad John owned. She was full of performance and it has sure shown through in these two feature bulls. This is fairly new cow family, but we can already see the impact of Emah and her daughters.

𝗪𝗢𝗟𝗙𝗘 𝗠𝗔𝗜𝗡 𝗘𝗩𝗘𝗡𝗧 𝗙𝗙 𝟯𝟵𝟯𝗠
The Main Event of our sale is the Emah grandson, 393M. This powerhouse ranks number one for both weaning weight and yearling weight among all of this year's bulls. His sire Ozark was also a very high-performing bull and has made us some good ones over the years. In 2022, our lead-off bull was an Ozark son, selling to repeat buyer, Klassen Ranching. He may not have the perfect markings, but Main Event is a bull that could really make an impact on the industry. He reminds us a lot of Jigsaw, a big Ozark son that we sold back in 2022 to repeat buyer Alix Colony. Main Event's maternal grandsire, Gage, was the highest-ranked bull from the Virginia Ranch offering that year. He is one of the biggest bulls we have ever owned. His first daughters are becoming awesome, productive cows.

𝗪𝗢𝗟𝗙𝗘 𝗠𝗔𝗗 𝗠𝗔𝗫 𝗙𝗙 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝗠
Mad Max is another great son of the popular Barbarian. His mom is the granddam to Main Event. Mad Max should be very strong at improving udders and increasing the body length of his offspring. Barbarian calves display exceptional length of body and are very quiet. His sons should also make great-uddered cows because his dam has great longevity. Max's maternal sister by Geyser is one of our best "L" heifers.

As many of you know, we are on a Spring calving program. Therefore, every year we keep about a dozen Full Fleckvieh sale heifers open so that they can easily slide into January calving. One of the top open heifers this year is 𝗪𝗢𝗟𝗙𝗘 𝗠𝗜𝗡𝗔 𝗙𝗙 𝟭𝟯𝟵𝗠.

This beautiful girl traces back to some old school genetics on the bottom side of her pedigree. Her ten year old dam, Carmina 907C, is from our Jahari son and out of the 454R cow. 454R’ pedigree is stacked with some of Dad’s old Jack Pine genetics such as Banjo (Mitzi) and Elan. She was built like a tank so we knick-named her Chevy Big Block.

The Elan cow was know for passing on her high quality milk in compact, tidy udders. Mina’s dam definitely inherited this and is sure to pass it onto lot 139M. With the highly-sought-after Barbarian as Mina’s sire she should be an exceptional addition to any herd.

𝗪𝗢𝗟𝗙𝗘 𝗠𝗢𝗟𝗦𝗢𝗡 𝟵𝟯𝟱𝗠

Molson is a very special bull.

He claims these titles in the pen:
- Heaviest bull (aside from one extra-age bull)
- Second highest predicted lean meat yield
- Third largest ribeye area
- Out of the highly productive nine year old "Delta" 935D

When you cross one of your best females with a new herdsire you aren't guaranteed to get a good one, but Molson sure hit the nail right on the head. He's not a one hit wonder either- the Rambler sire group is very strong. Four of the top 10 heaviest bulls in our sale are Rambler sons.

His dam, Delta, was one of the most eye-catching heifer calves that Fall and Courtney selected her to go in 4-H. Since then we have registered all of her calves. She is a very fertile cow with a great temperament. Both her sire, Brewster, and 935M's sire Rambler have amazing temperament as well. We were lucky enough to get a full sister to Molson this past April after five bull calves in a row.

𝗪𝗢𝗟𝗙𝗘 𝗬𝗘𝗗𝗔 𝟳𝟬𝟴𝗬 Cow Family

This year we have three lots to sell from the Yeda cow family, including her last direct son, Midway. Yeda 708Y just retired at the age of fourteen. She was a very productive cow for us and her udder held up beautifully through the years. Notably, her Broker grandson was a feature lot in 2021- selling to repeat buyer Chamberland Farms.

𝗪𝗢𝗟𝗙𝗘 𝗠𝗔𝗥𝗜𝗔𝗖𝗛𝗜 𝗙𝗙 𝟯𝟱𝟳𝗠
Mariachi is a polled Yeda grandson from Rambler and his dam is Avenue x Sting. He has excellent feet under him. His WW EPD is 95 and his YW EPD is 137. Aside from growth, he sure to make beautiful females because his dam and granddam have awesome udders. We still think Sting made some of the best udders around- and Avenue was very strong at this as well. While we can't say what the Rambler udders will look like quite yet, we are confident that they will hold up well too because we seen Rambler's dam at age nine. Mariachi's maternal sister, Kiti, went to Beechinor Land and Livestock in 2023 as a highselling female.

𝗪𝗢𝗟𝗙𝗘 𝗠𝗜𝗗𝗪𝗔𝗬 𝟳𝟬𝟴𝗠
Yeda's direct son shares the same sire as Mariachi, Rambler. Yeda got sick whilst raising him so his weaning weight might not be a reflection of his worth. Being a direct Yeda son he is that much closer to the longevity that Yeda possessed. The Rambler offspring have sure impressed us. They were stand-outs as young calves so we decided to give Rambler our biggest breeding group the following year. They have a lot of frame and are all very quiet like Rambler himself.

𝗪𝗢𝗟𝗙𝗘 𝗠𝗨𝗥𝗣𝗛𝗬 𝗙𝗙 𝟰𝟯𝟱𝗠
Murphy is a calving ease option from the Yeda line. He is a Sully son from an Avenue x Jahari dam. Sully was used successfully in the heifer pen for seven years and he now resides at 100X Ranch in the USA. This will be the second last group of Sully sons and daughters to sell. Combined with the length of body from Avenue and just an 80lb BW, Murphy should calve very well and make females you will want to save a spot for in the replacement pen.

Every year we scan our sale bulls, sale heifers, and replacement heifers. The feedlots will pay more for your calves once you get a reputation of having calves with better carcass quality.
