Irish Red Ale! ☘️

Tonight’s Sip & Dip is all about celebrating BC craft b**r while watching the 2026 BC B**r Awards from my hot tub! ♨️🏆

In my glass is Brew’s Irish Red Ale from in Quesnel, BC. A beautiful reddish-amber ale with a creamy head, gentle malt sweetness and lovely toasted caramel notes. At 4.5% ABV, it’s an easy-drinking classic! 🍺

Cheers to the passionate BC brewers and their incredible craftsmanship! 🍻❤️ And of course, my Halloween ducks are joining the celebration! 🦆🎃

Sip & Dip 🍎💦C***r Flight & a Celebration! 🥂

After an amazing afternoon at the Ukrainian Festival, there was only one way to finish the day… Sip & Dip time! ♨️🍾 And this time professional wrestler Dave Gibbs got to experience his first A Lady and Libations Sip & Dip! 🤼‍♂️😂

We started with Tropical Peach from Last Chance C***ry Lass Chance Beverage Co. and somehow one c***r turned into a flight! Next up were three from Ward’s C***ry Wards C***r
Peach,
Mulled W**e Sangria
and an absolutely delicious Ginger C***r. 🍑🍎🫚

But we had something even more important to toast. 🥂 Between tastings, we opened a 2020 Gray Monk Rosé Brut to celebrate Davie and his fiancée on their engagement. 💍🍾❤️ Gray Monk Estate W**ery | Award-Winning Okanagan Valley W**ery

Great libations are fun to discover, but sharing them with good friends and celebrating life’s special moments is what Sip & Dip is really about.

🇺🇦💙 Culture, Community & Libations

What a wonderful day it was yesterday experiencing the Ukrainian Festival in New Westminster, full of culture, music, food, local vendors and, of course, the b**r garden! 🍺

We enjoyed a special crisp l***r brewed for the festival and discovered two traditional Ukrainian spirits: Vyshnivka (Вишнівка), a sour cherry liqueur 🍒, and Medivka (Медівка), a honey liqueur 🍯. The Vyshnivka was definitely a favourite!

But the best part was experiencing Ukrainian culture alongside some awesome people connected to it. (Love my friends) Community festivals are such a great way to support one another, learn about different cultures and discover some delicious food and libations along the way. ❤️

We finished the day at a Ukrainian bakery for authentic breads and desserts and I think I’ve found a new favourite! 🥖🍰🤤

🥃🌴 A Night at Global Rum Festival

What a night celebrating rum, culture and the people behind the glass!

We started on Commercial Drive with an early dinner at Nonna's Cucina amazing Italian food, with the burrata, prosciutto and red w**e-soaked pears being a definite favourite. 🤤🍷 Then it was off to the Croatian Cultural Centre for The Lost History of Cuban Rum masterclass with Darryl Lamb.

Seven Cuban rums and 500 years of history later, I walked away with an even greater appreciation for the tradition, standards and craftsmanship behind Cuban rum. 🇨🇺🥃 One highlight was discovering La Progresiva 13, handcrafted by Bodega Vigia’s women rum maestros, and Black Tears, a Cuban dry-spiced rum with coffee, cacao and aji dulce. Naturally, a bottle of Black Tears came home with me! 😉 La Progresiva

Then came the Global Rum Festival itself and what an incredible evening of tasting, learning, laughing and connecting with people who are just as passionate about what’s in the glass and the stories behind it.

A special thank you to Darryl for taking the time to chat one-on-one afterward. Conversations and experiences like these keep inspiring me to learn more—and may just be pushing this Wh**ky Ambassador toward another spirits certification. 📚🥃
