Ceremonial matcha will be a very limited offering as hot weather can melt the chocolate, so we will evaluate on a weekly basis depending on weather forecast. This Friday is quite cool at 15°C so it will be available this week!! 🥳🥳

We are happy to announce that our pickup and delivery discounts will be an ONGOING promotion! We’ve had to make a few minor changes to make it sustainable, but it shouldn’t affect most of our customers.

New flavour for May: Pretzel Shio Pan 🥨

The classic shio pan you love, reimagined in Pretzel form: deep golden crust, extra chew with more exterior crisp. Finished with pretzel salt for a satisfying, savoury crunch in every bite.

With the sunny and warm weather coming up, we will sadly be saying goodbye to our Ceremonial Matcha shio pan after April. The warm weather can potentially melt the matcha fillings while in transit/awaiting pickup, and we wouldn’t want that for any of our customers 😮‍💨

If you’ve been meaning to try it, or you wanted to eat it again before it’s gone for the season, make sure you grab it before the end of April! You can still get this with free delivery for orders $40 and above (or at a discounted $5 delivery rate if you live in West/North Van, Delta, Surrey, Langley), or get it 10% off if you pickup at our commissary kitchen 💚

A “boring” post but it must be done.. shio pan storage instructions!

You just bought $100 worth of shio pans‼️and you don’t plan on eating them all today (though we hope you try at least some the day you receive them when they’re fresh out of the oven). How do you store them?

The most important thing is.. do NOT put them in the fridge. This will dehydrate the bread and make it stale fast.

For the salt butter rolls you plan on eating today, please keep in room temperature. To awaken that buttery crispy bottom again, rebake at 300F for 1-3 min.

For the salt butter rolls you don’t plan on eating today, please go ahead and store them in the freezer to preserve freshness. The faster you store them, the better. Then when you want to eat, microwave for 20s and rebake at 300F for 2-4 min.

Two exceptions: cream buns and lava buns ⬇️
• Cream buns (like our ceremonial matcha shio pan) should be eaten the day you receive them
• Lava buns (like our black sesame tong yuen shio pan) take longer to heat up because of the many layers inside. Even if eating today, microwave for 20s then bake at 350F for 3-5 min. If from frozen, microwave for 30s then bake at 350F for 4-6 min to ensure your lava stays flowing 🥰

This way you can enjoy your shio pans for as long as possible 🥐 Bon appetit 👩🏻‍🍳
