Now inviting Canadian apparel brands to explore the Japanese market.
AK JAPAN is partnering with a well-established e-commerce company in Japan that wants to bring Canadian apparel brands into the market. This is a real opening for Canadian brands curious about Japan but unsure where to start.
We handle the hard parts — market entry, sourcing, logistics, and test sales inside Japan — so you can see how your product performs before committing to a full launch.
We're looking for brands that can support initial orders of roughly 100–500 units per SKU. Whether you're an established label or a growing one ready to scale, we'd love to connect.

Did you know this little sponge has been around since the 1600s? It started out washing baby skin in old Japan, didn’t get its spongy shape until the late 1800s, and it’s still gentle enough for sensitive, acne-prone skin today. No scrubbing — just a mild alkaline layer lifting the dirt out of your pores.

Are you washing your face too hard?

It’s konjac — loved in Japan for over 1,000 years. The plant takes about 3 years to grow, and 90% of it comes from the Gunma region. It even became a sponge by accident, through freezing!
