Come with me to feed the animals, check on our pregnant goats, and collect chicken eggs 🌞 I hope you enjoy a little stroll around our farm seeing the animals :)

Everyone’s been so kind and wishing Huck well so I wanted to give an update. Huck’s been on anti-seizure medication for a month now and it’s working great so far. He went from having 7 seizures in a month to having 2 in a month. Hopefully if he continues on the medication, he could stop having seizures all together. He hasn’t been in the paddocks guarding our animals recently, he spends most of his day in our front yard now, so he isn’t a working LGD at the moment but he’s still our big squishy, cuddly Huckleberry ❤️

Jk she’s my chicken :p she hopped in when I left the trunk open as I was going back and forth to the house unloading all of our camping things.
I do wonder if she’s trying to stow away though, maybe she’s a city girl at heart and she’s tired of the country life :p

If you saw these posters hanging up at work, could you walk past them without buying eggs from two little local farmers? 🥹

We grew up on a cul-de-sac with tons of other kids, spending days running around to each others houses and yards, playing cops and robbers, hide and seek, playing with soccer balls or baseballs, and our summers were so imaginative and full of fun. And then phones became popular and smart phones took over and everyone had social media and now instead of getting out into the world, kids sit at home and play together online. I want to live in a world where I can trust my kids to be out all day long with their friends and they might get into mischief but I know they won’t come into any true harm. I want my kids to have the childhoods we had before tv and internet and phones became too accessible and stole away everyone’s creativity and imagination to play. I know I’m not the only parent that feels this way.

I think other homestead parents can relate 😂

It’s only 15 seconds but I think younger me would be thrilled to see what our life has become

We showed him the gas and how to turn and he took off and never needed another lesson 😂
