My second longest baking project arrived June 1st. Her name is Chiara and we are just in love with her 🤍. She is such an angel! 👼 And her sister loves her a lot despite the big change in her life. I have to admit this time around was so different having already an almost 2 year old, that I came to realize how easy was a single newborn compared to having 2 under 2, even though my first born had bad reflux and she was a bad day sleeper, this level of exhaustion is something else. But the love is also something else, it grows and fills your heart in ways you can’t picture before ❤️ so I just take it all in a one day at a time. Since I am on mat leave I might be more active here if time permits.
I am actually trying to squeeze baking and decorating a cake for the 2 year old birthday coming up soon but we’ll see what I can do 😅

Happy Easter 🐣 🐰

This year I decided to do my anual Easter Ring Bread in the shape of a bunny, just to make it prettier and more fun 🤗. I haven’t really been posting here but when I do bake something I have time to take pictures of, I just want to post it so this page does not go dead.

Just been enjoying motherhood as much as I can with my little big bunny now 🐰, and have a second little muffing baking in the oven coming in June 🤍🤰🏻
Life is fast but also slow. I really wish I will have time to bake and decorate a little birthday cake for my daughter’s second birthday this summer (theme is The farm, which I am pretty excited with) but we will see what can be done with a newborn and a toddler 😅

Finally the cake for my 1 year old daughter Isabella! I LOVED how it turn out but I have to say it cost me many many nights of staying up late 🫠

Also after struggling so much with my oven I ended up being able to make it. The technician came like 4 times and changed many parts. Fortunately I was able to make the cake one month in advance and freeze it. The decorations were sugar paste flowers, 2d figures that I made using what I learnt from , and inspiration from a cake artist I love .reposteria. I also take her course to learnt how to make fondant covered cakes of multiple tiers which was great! I was scared about how this cake will hold with the summer here. But I was ok outside the fridge for more than 12 hours at 20+ Celsius degrees!

As for the flavours I didn’t want to innovate a lot. The bottom tier was vanilla sponge with lemon buttercream and dulce de leche with walnut. The top tier was chocolate sponge with raspberry buttercream and white chocolate ganache. The cake itself was covered with dark chocolate ganache and fondant 🙌🏻

Happy Easter! 🐰💛
I got no chance to do any Easter treat but some carrot cake muffins for my baby (check my stories if you want to see)… we came to Whistler to spend the Easter weekend and ski a little bit (my other passion 😬)

This is actually from 3 years ago when I was cooking like crazy. I made these cream puff “Easter Eggs”. I got a forced holiday Timoteo because my baby’s daycare is closed so maybe I will get some time to cook something, who knows!

Who wants a sweet afternoon snack? 🙋🏻‍♀️If you do, you still have time to make these delicious pear and pean muffins for today as they are quick to make and I promise you wont regret it. They are soft and moist and have a sweet fruity flavour but not overly sweet.
And if you don’t have pears 🍐 , you can always use apples 🍎

One day late this time! I am getting better :). Nothing more suitable for Valentine’s Day than some Rose Petal Macarons. Sweet, rich and delicate and cute enough to make a good present together with some flowers.

Whenever possible, I love handmade gifts and I think they are much more precious than purchased ones, because they have the two most magical ingredients: love and time. I hope you spent Valentine’s Day full of love whether with your partner, children, family, friends or why not just quality time with yourself.

First post of 2023! This account has been dead for a long time now 😣

As much as I want to cook it’s being hard for me to do it with Isabella. I have done a couple of small things here and there and never posted them. I am planning to catch up on that this year at least. I always try to do photos but they never get edited on time and then I forget.

This is the cake I made for Isa’s 6 months-ary. It’s incredible she is already half a year!! Swipe left to see a current pic of her 🤍

She is now eating solids and that’s another different culinary level I have to go through haha. But it’s so fun!

How did your 2023 started?

The cake in the pic is a strawberry sponge cake with white chocolate ganache and berry confit fillings. All covered with a vanilla buttercream. This time I tried to do a vintage cake style but I kept it super simple because I am in Argentina at my mum’s and I don’t have all the tools (I still have a lot because me and my sister left a lot of tools here).
I personally didn’t like the flavour of the strawberry cake. I need to find a better recipe. But I wanted something different than the traditional vainilla cake.

Finally a new post here! It feels like ages, but finding the time and desire to bake is a challenge on itself recently. I had this moment between illumination and craving that made me create this pistachio macarons recipe 💚. Macarons will always stay #1 in my pastries top list, and pistachio is one of my favourite flavours (specially in gelato). This turned out to be sooo good that I did a photo shoot so I could upload the recipe to my blog. And btw, I love the light on these pictures, they turned out super moody and dramatic given the cloudy day we have today in Vancouver!
