Introducing the latest in our series of Czech-inspired beers: Polotmavy 14°.

Polotmavy 14° is an amber lager; with a rich malty character coming from imported floor-malted barley, balanced by the floral bitterness of classic Czech hops, the flavour profile of Polotmavy (which roughly translates to “half dark”) lands perfectly between a pale lager and a dark lager.

🍺🌐🍺FŌM IS BACK!🍺🌐🍺 And how proud are we to be presenting this Slow Hand x Brassneck FŌM Worldwide Pilsner. (VERY). A delicious Pils brewed with Fonio grain named after the World Acknowledged Lager Pop Up itself! We are FŌMing at the mouth with excitement for you to try some! (Okay that might be hyperbolical, but not by much)

First though, what is Fonio?
Fonio is an ancient grain from West Africa, related to millet. When used in brewing beer, Fonio adds a subtle fruitiness similar to a white wine-y character.

What is Pilsner?
We brewed this beer using a combo of Fonio and malted barley in the grain bill. We chose Hallertau Blanc hops to pair with the Fonio, to accentuate that light fruity character with soft notes of Sauvignon Blanc alongside cassis and elderflower from the hops. As one would expect from a Pilsner collaboration by Slow Hand & , this beer is crisp and quaffable!

Thank you ! What a pleasant surprise last weekend to take home an award! Ever since we brewed Mediterranean Pilsner with in 2024, its crisp and zesty character has been a hit. Pairs well with food, but it’s also smooth and easy drinking on its own. Plus that gorgeous 🍋 lemon label designed by the Nammos team never gets old! 💛

Wrong Lager is back, baby! 🍻 Our collab with John Wright of nomeansno (and currently ._.bob) is back in stock at the tasting room at . Just tapped this weekend for draft pours, and also available in 355mL four-packs to go.

Wrong Lager is a Franconian Kellerbier, one of John’s favourite styles to find on tour and to brew at home. It’s an easy-drinking lager with a little rustic quality to it and a grassy hop finish with a mild bitterness to balance it out.

Happy Oktoberfest to all who celebrate! We’re coining today, ‘Festbier Friday’ and we’re kicking off Oktoberfestivities at Threefold with the release of a strong golden Bavarian lager to go with a host of other German specialties to celebrate the Bavarian tradition that is Oktoberfest.

Throwback to 1810. There is a Royal Wedding in Munich, Bavaria. The townsfolk 200+ years ago loved a royal wedding as much as the next guy does today, so–they had a big party about it. It was so much fun that they threw the party again the next year, and the next year, and so on, and it soon became associated with tons of beer, food, mirth, and general good times. At some point the festival dates changed from early October to late September, but the name ‘Oktoberfest’ remained.

Festbier pours a deep golden hue with a delicious malt character of fresh baked bread, slightly sweet upfront, followed by a smooth, highly enjoyable dry finish with a hint of grassy hop character. Made for merriment at the end of summer.

Introducing the latest in our series of pilsners with a modern dry hopped twist: Nectaron Pilsner.

The Nectaron hop varietal was developed over 17 years in New Zealand from 2004 to 2020. With intense tropical fruit aromas, it is gaining traction as a suitable replacement for Citra and Mosaic hops for brewers looking to lessen their dependence on American hops.

Nectaron Pilsner is, like all Slow Hand pilsners, bright, crisp, and easy to drink. While the beer is primarily hopped with Nectaron, we blended in a little bit of Krush hops as well, as we find the guava and pineapple notes pair nicely with the passionfruit and peach character of Nectaron hops.

New Release! NAGANO GOLD Japanese Golden Rice Lager 🍺🌾 Brewed in collaboration with Northern Alps Brewery of Omachi, Nagano Prefecture, Japan.

Southern BC and Nagano Prefecture are similar in many ways: both feature prime agricultural land nestled among mountains, both have populations who enjoy year round outdoor recreation, and in both places it’s common practice to finish a day of adventuring with a cold, delicious beer.

Nagano Gold is brewed with rice from Nagano, Canadian & German malt, and BC hops. It’s a crisp and dry Japanese style rice lager perfect while golfing on a hot summer day, for après ski in the cold of winter, and anything in between.

Mediterranean Pilsner, our collab with is back in stock now.

This light pilsner is all about its subtle hints of lemon zest and herbal finish using classic malt and hop ingredients as opposed to adding any actual adjuncts in there. Crisp but not too bitter, Medi Pils has a clean malt profile and a mildly bitter bite on the finish. Cans are available now in four packs at the tasting room in !

The Right Time for the Wrong Beer

While the legendary drummer of NoMeansNo hardly needs an introduction, we’re here to introduce you to one of John Wright’s favourite beers.

The Kellerbier that John’s been brewing for over 30 years was inspired by the small brewpubs and farmhouse breweries that John and his band would encounter while on the road in Europe traveling through the region of Franconia, in northern Bavaria. When we first met John–over a beer–and he regaled us with stories of Kellerbier on tour, then asked if he could brew one with us to put on tap in his Powell River pub, , how could we say no??

Kellerbier is traditionally a young beer, pulled fresh from the cellar, which is what gives the beer its rustic, slightly cloudy appearance. Pale in colour, with a lightly sweet, grainy maltiness upfront, it finishes with a refreshing, crisp grassy bitterness.

Wrong Lager is brewed in the spirit of Kellerbier, a lager to be enjoyed by the community with those who brew it.

Draft pours and 355mL cans of Wrong Lager will be available starting today at in Vancouver, AND in Powell River.

Wildwood will also have cans of Slow Hand Pilsner available for off sales as well.
