Every cup we sell in Europe carries something beyond the coffee.

This Tuesday 6 October, Gran·D Specialty Coffee Europe is proud to be part of the “Building a Life in Luxembourg” live charity event, hosted by Seeds for a Better World ASBL with our Co-Founder Maria Lucia Romero-Grother.

A live podcast evening. Real stories. And every donation made at the door goes directly to supporting children’s education in rural Colombia.

The same children from the mountains where our coffee grows.

That is why this one is personal. 🌱🇨🇴

We are cheering for our team at the with the same pride we feel every day for our coffee.

This image represents generations of Colombian coffee farmers whose dedication has made our coffee known around the world.
Their work, passion and perseverance are part of who we are.

Today we wear yellow, celebrate every goal and continue sharing a cup of Colombia with the world.

¡Vamos Colombia! 💛💙❤️⚽☕🇨🇴

The water decides before we do.
In Huila and Tolima, we pick by hand. Only the red cherries, the ones that are truly ready. The green ones wait another day.
But ripe is not the whole story. Some cherries look perfect and are hollow inside. So on the same day they come off the plant, the whole harvest goes into the tank.
The light ones float. The dense ones sink. We pull out everything that floats and keep only what sinks.
Less density means less sugar, less of what you taste in the cup. A cherry can fool the eye. It cannot fool the water.
That is how the coffee starts. For green samples or a container to Canada, the US, or Europe, write to us. You will speak direct to the family.

Over the next few weeks we are going to show you how our coffee is actually made. From the seed on the mountain to the container that leaves the port.

Most people drink coffee with no idea of the work behind it. The picking by hand, the days of drying in the sun, the women sorting it bean by bean.

We want you to see it. Because once you see it, you understand what you are paying for, and why it tastes the way it does.

This is From Seed to Export. Follow along.

We are a family business, four generations of it, and we export green specialty Colombian coffee to Canada, U.S and Europe.

When you write to us, you are not reaching a sales desk. You are talking to the family that grew the coffee. Send us a message.

In a few weeks I will be in Brussels for World of Coffee, June 25 to 27.
My family has been growing coffee in Colombia for four generations. Now I am the one bringing that work to Europe.
I want to talk. About our own farms in Huila and Cundinamarca. About the families we work alongside in Tolima and Sierra Nevada, the ones who hand-pick the cherries and know each lot by name. About what it actually means when a coffee comes direct from the people who grew it.
If you will be in Brussels, send me an email to have an appointment with me. Let’s sit down and talk about Colombian specialty coffee, where it comes from, and the family behind every bag.
See you there.
