Are you a caregiver in the River District and Champlain Heights area?
I got funding from South Van Neighbourhood Small Grants to run 3 Caregiver Cafés. I have scheduled the first two for Fraser Lands Church. If you are a caregiver for a parent or friend or other family member, you are welcome to attend. It's free!
Session 1: September 15, 7–8 pm
Discussion theme: The Things Nobody Tells You. What surprised you about caregiving? What do you wish someone had told you about caregiving?
Session 2: October 6, 7–8 pm
Discussion theme: How Tech Can Help
Let's share low-cost technology, apps, gadgets and tricks that make caregiving easier.
My idea for these Caregiver Cafés is for people to come together, connect, share experiences, and build community. Discussion themes will be half the conversation - the other half will be open discussion and opportunity to connect!
