When we interviewed Chris McNiell, Hatchery Manager at Mowi Canada West, we didnโ€™t just get to hear his story, we also got a full tour of the hatchery. Chris walked us through the entire operation, proudly showing the care and attention that goes into raising every fish the right way.

In this latest episode of our Meet the Farmer series, we explore Chrisโ€™s journey in aquaculture, his experience working on Vancouver Island, and what continues to motivate him after more than 25 years in the industry.

After spending time with him, one thing really stood out: aquaculture is full of people with long-standing, meaningful careers. Just like Chris, there are many who have spent years in this industry, people who believe in what they do and in the role aquaculture plays in producing sustainable seafood.
