Still can’t get over the fact that this is happening in our neighbourhood.

Growing up in Kolkata, football was everywhere.

Now we’re standing in Vancouver watching the city get ready for the World Cup.

Life is weird.

Anyway, while everyone’s making summer plans, ours involves feeding people.

This summer, we’re bringing a little bit of Kolkata to Vancouver through a series of Bengali supper clubs inspired by the way our city eats, gathers, argues, celebrates, and feeds people.

Bengali food is a cuisine shared by over 300 million people across India’s West Bengal and Bangladesh.

Rice. Fish. Mustard oil.
And always ending with mishti.

This is the food we grew up eating.
