We make Natto, Miso, Amazake and more...! So what's great about Tama? Other than the great family at Tama, we are all about being a part of the organic community as a whole. The concept of 'Tama' is of 'oneness in both peace and health' where people can live harmoniously with others as well as their part in nature. And so we support our dedicated LOCAL organic farmers and we bring their flavourful

foods straight to you (seasonal)! Many of our foods we carry are inspired by the Macrobiotic diet or Oriental food culture (ie. 3 year old miso, Raw soy sauce, Natto, Brown Rice, fresh Daikon with leaves and more!). Some foods may be new to you, but be adventurous and give it a try or better yet, ask us and we are more than happy to help you find a way to eat it! At Tama, we are passionate about sharing a healthy life through organic foods and gaining a greater appreciation for where it comes from, nature.

What a way to finish our Friday! We received some amazing produce from ! We are happy and relieved to know they (and their farm) are safe from the wildfires in their area which is pretty much put out!

Today's haul includes:

🌱 San Marzano Tomatoes - limited

If you are looking to make tomato sauce, these are ideal!! They are meaty, low acidity, low seeds which will help make a rich sauce!!

🌱 Fresh YOUNG ginger

Slice, dip in miso and enjoy!

🌱 Carrots

🌱 Red Beets (bulk)

🌱 Heirloom Tomatoes

These are some seriously impressive Tomatoes! They vary in size and colour but have all grown out in the fields soaking in the late summer sunshine.

Another Friday and another incredible delivery of FRESH produce from Amazia Farm.

We feel so much gratitude for these weekly fresh deliveries. And appreciate the beautiful vegetables and fruits they grow.

A few notes:

We were hoping for more of their juicy watermelon but other people in the interior caught on and they sold out!

Golden Melons are back in - likely the last delivery. These are milder than a honeydew but just as refreshing.

Arugula is looking really good this week! We have a special price in store so please enjoy!

This is truly a time of abundance and we hope you continue to eat & enjoy it!

Tomato season is in full swing and we couldn't be happier (...and busier in the kitchen 🫣!)

We wouldn't change it for the world though!

The beautiful flavour that comes from local Heirloom Tomatoes is unmatched. And while we recommend enjoying them fresh in a salad, the reality is, they don't last forever and ever. So...we've gone ahead and made a delicious tomato sauce!
