What happens when an ancient Greek w**e tradition gets a modern rethink?

Marquis W**e Cellars owner John Clerides sits down with international w**e writer and educator Michaela Morris to explore the 2020 Kallos Phos from 1979WINES - a fresh perspective on retsina, Greece’s distinctive w**e infused with pine resin.

Led by w**emaker Eleni Kechri, 1979WINES is reimagining this centuries-old style through sustainable resin harvesting and a thoughtful exploration of the pine forest’s influence on the w**e.

The result? A fascinating expression of Assyrtiko that invites us to rethink everything we thought we knew about retsina.
