Yesterday, our community came together to raise a glass - and raise funds - for our neighbours in Summerland.

Thank you to everyone who joined us, donated, shared the event, purchased wines, and helped make the afternoon possible. Your generosity will support the Community Foundation of the South Okanagan Similkameen Wildfire Response Fund, Central Okanagan Food Bank, and Paws It Forward Dog Rescue.

Together, we raised $5820, which Marquis is proud to match for a total of $11,640 going back to the Okanagan.

A very special thank you to the wineries who shared their wines and stories with us, and to the local organizations and agencies who came out to support the afternoon. We are so grateful for your generosity, partnership, and support. ❤️

They represent years of hard work, passion, family, land, and livelihoods - and this summer, many of our winery partners in Summerland saw their homes, vineyards, businesses, and communities threatened by devastating wildfires.

On Wednesday, August 26 from 4–6pm, we’re coming together to support our Okanagan neighbours. We’ll be pouring wines from Summerland wineries affected by the fires, including a few others from around the world, with snacks to enjoy along the way.

Admission is by donation and Marquis will match the total amount raised. All wines will also be 10% off during the event.

Hey everyone, this post is how we can help the people in Summerland. I just spoke to my longtime friend who, along with her husband Steve, own Ok Crush Pad. They have had to leave the winery, Matt, the winemaker, amd his wife have lost their home. The Mexican workers have lost their accommodations, the list goes on. Chris told me the biggest way we can help is to simply buy wine, beer cider anything from the locals, this will go a long way. Thank you
