Hops Connect Canada Providing Canadian craft brewers quality hops from every corner of the globe. 100% 🇨🇦 owned! It takes a lot to succeed in the craft brewing industry. Pride.

Attention to detail. An obsession with quality. Not always the kinds of things you find in a warehouse. But they matter. A lot. At Hops Connect Canada, you can see those qualities at work, every day. At the same time, we understand that in today’s hyper-competitive market, craft brewers need more than just passion. They need premium ingredients—including a wide variety of top-quality hops from around the world. A rock-solid supply chain. A partner who supports them through the ups and downs, one who truly “gets” this exciting, challenging business of ours. That’s where we come in. Absolutely, we’re beer people (and ale people, and stout people, and … you get the idea). But we’re also business people. And for the past decade, our goal has been to be more than simply a supplier to our customers. We want to be their partners in success. By offering exclusive access to the most sought-after, most flavourful hops in the world at reasonable, Canadian prices. By taking the time to visit our customers in the breweries and taprooms where their craft (and our product) comes alive. By responding to and even anticipating customer needs. By sharing our passion for elevating the culture and community of craft—along with our business savvy and entrepreneurial know-how. Make no mistake: we love the craft. But we also love the business of craft. Because we understand what you understand: that the most important ingredient of success isn’t always the kind of thing you find in a brew tank, or a pint glass, or even a warehouse.

As the Canadian channel partner for the BarthHaas Group, we’re proud to bring the newly launched Terra Alpha Series to Canada. It is the latest release from Hop Breeding Company, the breeders behind Citra®, Mosaic® and Krush®.

Terra is a purpose-built alpha platform: high alpha, clean bitterness, excellent storage stability, and agronomics designed to hold up over the long term. Two varieties launch the series, TerraSurge™ and TerraFlux™, and between them they cover almost anything you need from a bittering addition.

From Pilsners to IPAs, we reckon Luna® is one of the most versatile hops on the market, but the proof is in the reviews. Here’s what brewers around the world have to say.

Add a low dose late on the hot side for some delightfully spicy citrus flavours, or dry hop at the start of ferment to elevate mouthfeel and maximize those lush mango and dark berry flavours.

Launching in Australia this May, and in Canada in July. There’s limited payload, so contact your Hops Connect Canada Sales Representative before liftoff to secure your supply.

What does Luna® bring to the table?

Lush mango, dark berry and spicy citrus.

Think velvety-smooth tropical fruit punch with a high polyphenol content that elevates the flavour profile and mouthfeel to really round out the palate.

It seamlessly complements other modern hops and lends itself to many popular b**r styles.

“Luna’s seriously good in b**r. It creates some beautifully complex notes of spicy citrus on the hot side and juicy mango on the cold side. I can see it becoming a very popular hop. I reckon it’s going to rival Galaxy.” - Ross Terlick, Rocky Ridge Brewing

Launching in Canada in July. There’s limited payload, so contact your Hops Connect Canada Sales Representative before liftoff to secure your supply.

You’ve known it as HPA-033, now it’s official:

Say hello to Luna®

Just like our Canadian Craft Brewers, Aussie hops are big characters. When choosing a name, HPA considered a couple of things – the hop’s flavour profile and its position in our portfolio.

Get ready to go beyond with Luna®, a hop distinguished by its lush mango, dark berry and spicy citrus characters, alongside a high polyphenol content that elevates the flavour profile and mouthfeel.

It’s smooth. It’s radiant. It’s expansive.

Launching in Canada in July. There’s limited payload, so contact your Hops Connect Canada Sales Representative before liftoff to secure your supply.

The Rockstar has arrived. Introducing NZ Rhapzody, the high-thiol breakthrough from Clayton Hops. Formerly known as CIP 014, this hop is a proprietary powerhouse designed to separate your brew from the commodity crowd.

Why it’s a game-changer:

Intense Flavour: Booming passionfruit and tropical notes, underpinned by citrus and stone fruit.

Thiol Potential: Exceptional levels of 3S4MPol precursors for classic New Zealand tropical fruit flavour.

Versatility: 12-14% Alpha and low Cohumulone for smooth bitterness in any fruit-forward style.

Freshness: Processed within 3-7 days of harvest to lock in volatile oils.

Availability: Limited 2025 trial crop is available now for immediate pilot brews. Commercial quantities arrive in Summer 2026. Scaling acreage for a new variety is complex, so we highly recommend 2026 contracts to secure your production needs and reserve your specific supply.

Contact us today to get Rhapzody into your tanks - pairs well with Mosaic, Citra, Nelson Sauvin, and Motueka.

Meet Dolcita™

A hop as sweet as it’s name! Formerly grown under the cultivar name of HBC 1019, Dolcita delivers a pleasant mix of soft stone-fruit aromatics, tropical juiciness, citrus brightness, and creamy undertones, reminiscent of peach, pineapple, and orange. It’s uniquely expressive, fruit-forward, and beautifully balanced - perfect for brewers creating approachable, flavour-forward styles with wide appeal.

Dolcita’s name is a creative mash-up of “dolce” (sweet, Italian) and the diminutive “-ita” (little, Spanish), together meaning “sweet little darling,” “little sweetie,” or “sweetheart.”

Paired with its flavour profile, Dolcita calls to mind Mediterranean holidays and pleasant sensory indulgences, like peach ring gummies, creamy gelato/helado, tropical rum daiquiris, fruity Italian ice, and candied oranges. It’s playfully assertive, not overpowering, and it gets along well with other hops. Dolcita™ is sure to become your brewers’ new favourite aroma hop!

Dolcita™ HBC 1019 c.v. is currently available in:

T90 classic pellets
LupoMAX® concentrated pellets
Incognito® concentrated flowable whirlpool addition
