With Valentine’s Day around the corner, I found love in a dish that perfectly reflects my journey—Bengali Dhokar Dalna meets Maharashtrian Patwadi, but with a twist! Instead of the usual chana dal, I used French lentils, making this classic even richer in protein and fiber.
As a Bengali girl married to a Marathi boy, living in Canada, this dish is our love story on a plate—blending traditions, crossing borders, and creating something uniquely ours. After all, love, like food, is all about embracing differences and making something beautiful together.
