Argentinian style Pastry (Facturas de Membrillo)
I was craving a quick Argentinian style pastry made with quince paste , so I had some puff pastry and the paste so whipped up some on my own in no time! The result: delicious!! 🤤
Recipe below ⬇️
1 package puff pastry , cut into squares
1 package quince paste (Membrillo) (can be found in the Latin section of grocery stores)
1 egg yolk , egg wash
Powdered sugar for sprinkling
**cut puff pastry into squares
**add a nice chuck of quince paste (membrillo) in the centre off the square, making sure when you add the other square on top it seals properly
**seal it well and take the sides and squeeze them together then in gently towards the centre
**brush with a egg yolk for a nice colour on top
*bake at 400*F for 15-18 min until golden top and bottom
**let cool and sprinkle with powdered sugar
