Ajax (Heritage Hills 1J) is a sweet boar that loves a good back scratch. Born April 2021 he has fathered many litters for us over the years. He is a purebred, registered English Large Black. Ajax is starting to slow down and can no longer keep up with a high demand breeding program. He is best suited for a smaller breeding program where he only needs to cover a couple girls. His price reflects this.

Meet Dorothy! Dorothy is a registered Lacombe sow. She has been living on her own and not used for breeding for sometime this has led to excessive obesity. She has only been with us for a couple days. So, far she is timid and uneasy on her feet.

We will be working hard to get her comfortable and healthy. To start it off shes been placed in a pen with room to move around, we are spending time with her daily creating positive experiences. Once we have her trusting us we will start getting her up to move around the yard as we are concerned she could easily break a leg at her current weight.

Dorothy will be a slow journey, but we hope that we can get her into a good condition and breeding again. Lacombe pigs are critically endangered with very limited genetics available. They are only found in Canada.

Heidi has been a phenomenal first time mama. She had 9 healthy, vigorous piglets and has had no losses so far. We are so impressed with her. Heidi is a third generation English Large Black sow on our farm. She was bred back to a second generation Red Wattle boar.

If you're after some hybrid vigor with docile temperament this 50/50 English Large Black x Red Wattle are a great option. They will be ready to go in early October. Taking reservations now.

Its time for us to do some shuffling in our breeding programs and say goodbye to a handful of our foundational boars.

Rafiki is a beautiful Ossabaw Island Hog born in 2021. He is registered with the Livestock Conservancy under recovery status. He has fathered many litters on our farm, is a good breeder and does well with piglets. Rafiki is on the large side for the breed and can successful breed both Ossabaws and larger breeds. Can be paired with breeding gilts or sows to create a breeding program.

Ossabaw Island Hogs and are hardy and do well in Canada's seasons. They typically have excellent mothering skills and co-parent well. Their meat offers deep flavour, dark crimson colour, with soft white fat.

Its that time a year again, where the fruit starts to ripen and drop. The garden is harvested and the extras, the not quite ripe, the too ripe, the leafy greens get piled to compost or bagged for removal.

In the city of Edmonton or surrounding area with fruit trees? Is that fruit making a mess on your yard? Put it to use! As it becomes available PM us your address, have the fruit in boxes, bags of bins and we will swing by and fill up the truck with waste fruit for the piggies.

Live closer to us? Feel free to drop your waste fruits/veggies at the farm gate.

Pigs love a varied diet and naturally scavange for fruits and veggies.

This sweet purebred English Large Black gilt is calm, respectful of fences and loves a good back scratch, 16 even teats. Born April 30, 2025. She has been exposed to a purebred, registered Red Wattle boar since May 2, 2026 and appears to have a milkline coming in, earliest possible due date August 24, 2026.

She would be a great addition to an existing herd or to start a new breeding program. Should be moved as soon as possible so she can settle before farrowing.

When we first started with sheep we got a partial herd from a Icelandic sheep herd disperal. After several years of learning the ins and outs to raising sheep. We have decided to focus in and bring the same farm mission to the sheep as we do with the pigs. Preservation of endangered breeds. We will start this journey off with some trial runs of several breeds. This also means its time to find new pastures for most the Icelandics. Discounts if taking the whole group. This group is unpapered. Trained to come to a bucket.

We decided it was time to add to the farm bring some more diversity. We are excited to annouce that we will now be offering pure Serama chickens.

Serama chickens are a bantam breed. They are one of the smallest breeds of chickens in the world.

We are currently offering a mature, younger rooster, excellent at his job. We are planning to keep a bunch of his chicks to increase our number of hens and he will be to related to them.

We typically have two farrowing seasons each year. Our second round of farrowing for 2026 has started strong with four litters of Ossabaw Island Hog piglets. They are growing well and sweet as can be.

Reservations are now open. Farm pickup is always an option but if you need transport we also have openings on a southern AB/BC transport, and transports East through to Nova Scotia.

BC Livestock Transport: We recently had a request for a livestock transport to Tappen BC and are hoping to fill the trailer up a bit more. We would be going from our farm (East of Edmonton) south to Calgary and then west through Canmore, Golden, Revelstoke, Salmon Arm and returning along the same route.

Currently have space on the way there in the trailer and space for two extra large kennels on the way back.

This transport would happen August 26-28.
