Today the purebred team completed pasture assessments in two of the pastures here at Lakeland College!

Lakeland College prioritizes pasture health for the cattle to succeed to their best abilities. The team was looking for varieties in grasses and legumes while also looking at the cover of these plants on the land.

The pastures are looking awesome and allowing our cows and yearlings to keep grazing further into the fall!

Last but certainly not least our Finance Coordinators!

Hi! I’m Cassie Kidd from Sundre, Alberta, where I have been actively involved in 4-H for over 10 years. Throughout my 4-H journey, I have shown Angus market steers, heifers, and more recently market lambs and pens of three. These experiences have strengthened my passion for agriculture, livestock, and the purebred industry.
I’m excited to be part of this year’s Purebred SMF Financial Team and look forward to gaining more knowledge and hands-on experience in the many aspects of a purebred operation. I’m excited to learn, make new connections, and see what this year has in store!
