Please support local. When you spend your money at a local business, that business is more likely to spend their money locally as well. I know we do. We get our packaging from a local company, we get a lot of seeds from Metchosin Farms, we by feed at Willowwind and Buckfield, we buy irrigation supplies at Integrity. Outside the farm we try to eat at local, non-chain restaurants, buy bread from local bakery, meat from local butchers. We have so much here and your money means so much more here.

$3/lb. Available at our farm stand at 4290 Metchosin Rd allowing with out Okanagan peaches and Italian prune plums and a great selection of other produce from out farm. We are open weekends 10 to 4 or we can arrange pick up.

DUE TO FIRES - LAST CHANCE TO GET CANNING PEACHES!!!

Typically when the last pick is done in Osoyoos, we still get one or two more orders from or Okanagan connection's orchard in Summerland. Sadly this year it will not be possible as they cannot even get to the orchard due to the evacuation.

We were able to get one last order through so we will have peaches and Italian prune plums this weekend and possibly through to next weekend but we cannot guarantee anything. If you are wanting to get some canning done, we recommend you pick some peaches up sooner rather than later.

Sitting at the fruit stand every weekend, particularly over the last couple years, I seem to have collected a following of Russian speaking customers who are just thrilled with my poor, unpracticed Russian skills. It's good for my self-esteem if nothing else, well and they sure do buy a lot of fruit. Maybe should break out the Duolinguo when I have a moments peace so I can do better than prices and the names of fruit.

PS this is Sarah, I don't think Eric knows how to say strawberry in Russian

We got off to a slow start this year but man, when that bounty hits it hits. We've got strawberries, green beans, red plums, delicious cucumbers (I really love these cucs), and green beans. Are famous cantaloupe are starting too.

Come see us at our stand at 4290 Metchosin Rd Saturday's and Sundays from 10 to 4 (some items are stocked through the week) or come see Eric at the Metchosin Farmer's Market on Sunday from 11 to 2.

With the cantaloupe, they are often in high demand, you are welcome to message us before coming by to make sure we have one for you.

All week long you can findpeaches by the pound (while they last) at The Flying Dutchman Market.

Delivery - available typically once a week for a small fee. Great for those of you without a vehicle.
