THE DETAILS
ABOUT ME
- I am an eternal optimist, a leo and a mother of two boys (1 and 3) and 1 dog.
- I love cooking, being active, and going on adventures with my family (especially since we recently got a camper).
- I'm very passionate about food that tastes good and is real. I've been reading cooking blogs, collecting cookbooks, and composing recipes as long as I can remember.
- I'm a big
supporter of local food. I source from farms, farm markets and my home garden. Local food is fresher and fresh food contains more nutrients. It is also easier on the environment and tastes better. ABOUT MY FOOD
- I don't have a list of foods that I make. Its more like a guerrilla lunch service where what is make is what you get! That being said I do keep track of peoples' allergies and dislikes, and will never give you anything you don't like. The reasons/benefits of this are multiple:
1) I get to have conversations with you all on a 1-on-1 basis! Fun right?
2) I get inspiration from what comes in my CSA box and usually don't know what I'm making until I pick it up!
3) I can get inspiration from YOU! If you have a recipe you want me to try or something you LOVED let mw know, and you might just see it show up at your door next week.
4) It allows me to cook with the seasons giving you the freshest and most nutritious food possible.
5) Diversity is the spice of life right? And no one wants to eat chicken burritos every week.
- All meals are $13. A week of lunches (5) is $65. Dinners and Lunches is $130.
- I eat everything I make. I would never want you to put something in your body that I wouldn't want in mine.
- All meals are between 350-400 calories and contain a healthy ratio of macro nutrients.
- I strive to use organic ingredients as much as possible.
- Most of my meals are vegan, but occasionally I use Rabbit River organic free run eggs, or seafood/poultry from Two Rivers meats.
- I cook Sunday and Tuesday evenings so pick-up is Monday and Wednesdays. I also don't mind doing some drop-offs on the North Shore.
- All meals are made in a kitchen that is not inspected by the Health Authority, and not certified Gluten-Free. Or certified anything for that matter.
