Today a new highway sign went up 🌸

And honestly? I’m equal parts excited and slightly nauseous šŸ˜‚ because the flowers themselves aren’t new

I planted the first flower fields back in 2017 as a passion project. Something to connect me to the Ag world and feel beautiful growing next to farm life and motherhood and everything else we were building.

For years, it’s mostly lived through word of mouth, family and friends, and Instagram.

So maybe this is a good time to share what we’re actually building out here at T & B

It’s not a polished tourist attraction.
It’s a real working farm.
There’s hay and grain and mud and wind and equipment everywhere some days. The flowers exist right beside the rest of our life out here, kids, projects, long days, muddy boots, and all.

The flower fields and little farm store are meant to feel simple, welcoming, and connected to the land. A little more ā€œcome wander around for a bitā€ and less ā€œperfectly curated experience.ā€

We’re building it slowly and honestly
One season at a time

Our hope is that people come here to reconnect a little:
To slower mornings
To prairie roads
To dirt under their nails
To the kind of places that still feel human.

Some days there’ll be lots to see
Some days it’ll just be windy and farmy šŸ˜…
But that’s kind of the point

This sign going up feels like the moment it’s slowly becoming something more
Not more polished
Not less personal
Just more rooted and intentional. More ready to be shared

And honestly, that feels both exciting and wildly vulnerable.

So thank you for being here while this little prairie dream keeps growing, and for romanticizing the dirt roads with me along the way

I’ll keep sharing hours, flower updates, and days we’re open as the season unfolds. Farm life can be a little weather-dependent, so social channels will be the best place to check before making the drive šŸ¤

🌱
After a long prairie winter… we’re back.

But this year feels different.

We didn’t just wait for spring šŸ˜…
we moved into it.

This winter, we packed up life as we knew it and moved to the farm.
Snowdrifts, chore boots, three kids, and all.

And somewhere between the cold mornings and long nights…
we started dreaming bigger.

PoppyWynn Flower Co is blooming again
and she’s stretching out this year.

More rows.
More colour.
More space to wander, pick, and stay awhile.

If you’ve been here before, you know
this isn’t just flowers.
It’s slow mornings, dirty hands, kids running wild,
and that feeling you forgot you needed.

And if you’re new here… welcome.
You found us at just the right time. 🌸

We’ll be sharing more of what we’ve been up to,
including our winter ā€œhaycationā€ down the states through the Baja 🌓

But for now…

We’re back.
And it’s going to be a beautiful season.

The first frost has kissed the fields
and just like that, another growing season is tucked into memory. I can’t help but reminisce about the armfuls of blooms that filled this summer. Each bouquet was a little local love story of its own.

Thank you to everyone who trusted me with your visions, your weddings, and your wildflower dreams. šŸŒøšŸ’› Here’s to resting roots and to all that will grow again.

August in Alberta is basically the Super Bowl of blooms 🌾
I don’t post often (socials aren’t exactly my main crop). But when I do, it’s because the flowers insisted on a cameo.

This month? Weddings, bouquets, and blooms that make even a seasoned florist weak in the knees. My favourite wedding yet, right in the thick of peak season.

All locally grown, cut fresh, and looking their absolute best šŸ’

When Chelsea (.co) came to visit, I found myself apologizing for all the weeds in my garden.
She tours a lot of gardens, so I asked if it was normal.

She smiled and said something like:
ā€œIf everything’s perfectly weeded and manicured, it might mean you’ve got room to plant more.ā€

And I’ve been turning that over in my head ever since.

Because she’s right, in farming and in life, there’s a balance between capacity and revenue. Between what we can keep pristine and what we let run a little wild.
A few weeds probably mean you’re growing enough to keep your hands full.

Here’s to the gardens (and lives) that are thriving with just the right amount of imperfection. 🌱
