Mama Bear and I decided to make fresh game day pizza before the Jays game last night with homemade pizza sauce, sourdough discard dough, and fresh ingredients. I made enough sauce to be able to pressure can 8 x 1 cup jars for 8 more pizzas! Yum-yum!

So here's the deal and dilemma.... I wanted fresh mushrooms to go with my ribeye steaks (naturally cooked over charcoal with soaked mesquite chips). I went to Brantford Mushroom Farms. You can only buy 5 lbs at a minimum. I hesitated for only an instant and bought 5 lbs of brown-cap mushrooms. I ended up using 1 1/2 lbs for dinner, gave 1 1/2 lbs to Brennen and Olivia (Son & DIL). With the remainder I made brown mushroom stock. I got 3 quarts in total and canned them! (I know, they're jars). The house smelled fantastic!

Pickles! I was busy today. I had leftover jalapenos, garlic and red onions from a large order of hot sauce for a golf tournament, so I made pickles! Six pints of pickled jalapenos, four pints each of pickled garlic and red onion. I still have 15 lbs of jalapenos that I don't know what to do with......

Last trip I made (Cozumel) I realized that my baggage tag had gone missing. So, I had new, custom baggage tags made for my luggage! The information card is inside under a protective plastic sleeve and flap. These are made out of PU leather with a metal reinforced attachment ring. Cool, eh?
