We are only one week out from our open house! On September 5th come spend a day on the farm, from 9:30-2:30.

Do you want to find out what goes on at a dairy farm, and meet the cows that produce the milk we make our products from? Then Saturday is your chance to do so! Mackenzie's Coffee Cart, Drop the Beet Juice, and Sweet Sonke Treats will also be joining us with their treats that they make from our dairy products!

Admission is free but we will collecting donations for the Norfolk Forest School.

has been a fantastic partner of ours since we started! Their maple syrup is tapped and made locally here in Norfolk County. The syrup is Amber and Grade A! We use Chamber's Maple Syrup to sweeten our products like our quark and sell the bottles in the shop! Come on by and check it out!

- In Austria quark is commonly used to make cheesecake
- In Germany it is frequently spread on bread for sandwiches
- In Poland quark is mixed with potato to use as filling for pierogis
- In Latvia it is common to mix quark with sour cream & scallions to eat on rye bread
- In the Ukraine quark is a great base for Easter cake and is recommended for babies
- In the Netherlands quark makes delicious chilled quark tarts

This spring our son Stein graduated from Lakeland College's Dairy Science program. We are so proud of him but also so happy to see that he has taken an interest in agriculture and farming. We have always encouraged our kids to pursue whatever
they are most interested in, which for Stein happens to be farming. As the average age of farmers continues to climb in Canada it is so important that young people continue to get involved in this industry in order to keep providing Canadian grown food across the country. Last year the average age of farmers in Canada was 55+.

I was lucky enough to see Stein graduate in person out in Alberta! It was so amazing to see so many young people gaining knowledge about an industry that is so important for everyone! I look forward to seeing the positive change that the next generation creates!
