As some of you may know, we were at the Norfolk County Fair's Holstein Show on Tuesday. It was a very successful day, to say the least! We won Grand Champion and the Breeders Cup for the very first time. We couldn't have done it without Liz, Elizabeth, Chad, and Chrystal (C&C Livestock Hauling)! Thank you!

We are a vendor at the Norfolk County Fair! Have you always wanted to try our products but haven't been able to stop into our store yet? Then be sure to stop by the Recreation Building where you can check out all kinds of local products!

A quick reminder: we are closed on Tuesday October 6th!

It is harvest season again! A week ago, we harvested our corn, which we will feed our cows all winter long. If you see lots of tractors on the road in the upcoming weeks, be sure to practice patience.

Another quick reminder: we will be closed on Tuesday, October 6th, as we will be at the Holstein Show at the Norfolk County Fair.

Three years ago today, we started selling milk in our on-farm store. Over the last three years, we have grown to offer a wide variety of dairy products, from cheese to quark, plus other local products. With lots of new friends, we thought we should reintroduce ourselves. We are Ingrid and Marcel of Markhoeve Dairy. In 2009, we immigrated to Canada from the Netherlands with our three kids to pursue our dream of dairy farming. In 2023, when our kids were grown, we decided to take on our next adventure: starting our own small on-farm dairy processing plant. With Marcel taking care of the cows and farm-related things, and Ingrid making farm-fresh dairy products from that milk, we hope to provide Norfolk County with farm-fresh dairy! We want to thank you for your ongoing support over the last three years; we could not do it without you!

We know this is probably the last thing we all want to hear right now... but the winter and holiday season is approaching! While the weather is still nice, we wanted to give you a little heads up: if you or your business is interested in ordering cheese boxes for the upcoming holiday season, please reach out soon! That way, we can chat about options and find something that works for you.

And of course, we can't forget about our lucky winner from the Open House cheese box draw. Congratulations Marie, we hope you enjoy your cheese box!
