💛👋It’s been a week since we called it a wrap on the 2025-26 Golden Hawk year and it’s now a month until our incoming hawks must make their final decision. Make the Golden choice of Laurier!
We can’t say a big enough thank you to all our guests across campus this year! You are why we do it and we can’t wait to serve you again in the fall. Congratulations to our graduating class!
Cheers to more Carnivals, chocolate fountains, Cool Foods, dance classes, and smiles on your faces!

Happy Earth Day Laurier! Let’s remember to be kind to ourselves and the planet. Now let’s take a look at some of our sustainable initiatives and practices from the last year.
🚮Let’s Talk Trash helped us understand the campus’ waste streams and how to properly dispose of waste
🪱Just for Fun Dirt and Worms Pop Up today
☕️We are a Fairtrade Campus and love celebrating this with with tables, giveaways, and events through the year
🤝Our Building Conmunities day allowed our team to prepare and package over 600 meals for the Waterloo Region Food Bank as well as 70 meals for the on campus Distro and distribution to students across campus during exam season
🦁 Catch Marley our Coffee Cup around campus with free goodies like and doing a lil jig
🥗 Cool Foods tables were a great way to learn about our low carbon recipes and how to understand what the logo means on menus
🔪Our culinary demo and food waste workshop shared resources to support or fight food insecurity and food waste in the KW community while teaching students culinary skills. Donating the vegan and no gluten recipe prepared, allowed us to provide the Distro with 75 meals

Happy Wellness Wednesday 🌿

We’re celebrating Earth Month by spotlighting our Cool Food menu items in the Dining Hall today! 🌎 Meals with the Cool Food logo have 38% lower carbon emissions compared to a typical meal—small choices, big impact.

Tonight’s the night Golden Hawks! Fresh Food Company will be open until midnight serving chicken tenders, fries, and milkshakes from 10pm to 12am. It’s $10 plus tax for any apartment style or non all access meal plan students to join us during that time. Bring your study gear or play some of the board games we’ll have ready for you and destress!
Please note that the grill station will close early tonight at 9:30pm to allow for the transition while other stations will remain open until 10pm as usual.

🦖🦕Throwback Thursday! No not as far as the Mesozoic era but to last month when our team celebrated Employee Appreciation Day. Facing the rain and travelling around campus three times, our management team wanted to share with our employees just how t-rrific we think they are.

🔥🔪🍽️Battle of the Presidents was a success today thanks to our and wonderful competitors and everyone who came to celebrate with us. Congratulations to Deb and Kate on their win this year and to Ryan and Maria for their very creative dish.

Come try their features in Fresh Food Company tomorrow at 11am and cast your vote by 12pm to crown the winning team. Extra delicious food, Midas photo opps, and a cutthroat battle? What’s not to love?
