Our colour of the month for June isn't a colour at all! We've done something a little different, and are offering Appetizer Sets at 15% off!

What is an Appetizer Set?? It's a great little combo of a 50g half skein + a 20g mini skein - perfect for making yourself a pair of ankle socks, using in a sweater yoke, a baby sweater...

My personal favourite is to make shorty socks, and I am always looking for a fun pattern to knit... so it was awesome when a local-ish customer, Paula ( ) reached out to show us the socks she designed with an appy set she grabbed at one of our markets!! If you want to make a pair (highly recommend - look how cute they are!!), she has her Sporty Shorties pattern available on Ravelry!

And one quick note about the appy sets - most of them are one of a kind (OOAK), and are in very limited quantities (some only have 1 available). So if there's one that catches your eye, scoop it fast because they don't last long!

Today is +37*C (98.4*F) here in Saskatchewan. We literally went from winter (we had enough snow on the May Long Weekend to build a snowman... a large one!) to record heat in just over a week. It's been quite unpredictable lately!

So while it's maybe a *bit* too warm to wear the Lisburn Cowl right now, it's the perfect time to knit it! It takes less than 1 skein of fi*****ng weight yarn from your stash, so it's a great project for knitting in the shade!

The designer, Brenda Brayfield () featured garter stitch and a decorative eyelet pattern, finished with a delicate picot edge. It beautifully combines warmth and style, offering exceptional results with minimal effort. This relaxing project is flattering, comfortable, and very easy to wear.

As with her other releases, is generously offering her Lisburn Cowl for 50% off for its introductory weekend (until Sunday, May 31). You can grab it on Ravelry!

Our first market of the season is almost here! We are so excited to be able to get back to Biggar after a 2 year hiatus (not purposeful - we kept ending up with personal events falling on the same weekend!)!

We hope we will see you there! Its an amazing event, and an amazing annual fundraiser for the Biggar Branch of the Wheatland Regional Library! (Fun fact - Jaedyn is also a community librarian for the Watrous Branch, so this event is always extra special for her!)

Just when you think it’s safe to put away your winter woollies… we get the May Long!

I was ready to throw hands last night when the rain turned to snow, we had to turn on the furnace (after needing AC earlier this week!), and when I realized that it wasn’t melting!!

No spring planting for me this weekend - guess it’s a stay in and knit kind of day!

You wouldn't think it, but green is REALLY hard to get just right when you have a specific shade in mind. Jaedyn has had one in mind for YEARS, and has created and experimented and scrapped and played some more... and always came away with a green that was okay, but not quite right.

And then, as often happens, we had a mishap in the dye pots with another colour. So to salvage it, we tossed in some green dye to cover it... and this was the result.

The good news is that even accidents can be recreated if you can remember what you did. We have learned over the years to write EVERYTHING down, so thankfully, this colour recipe was easy to recreate on purpose. And after all that - we just HAD to name it "It's Not Easy"... because this was literally the colour that eluded us for ages! Plus, it made us laugh... which is always a good enough reason!

It happens to be our Colour of the Month as well - which means it's 15% off until May 14! Yay!
