Moon Fire Farm contributes to a sustainable local food supply nurturing the health and well being of the individual, family, local community, and the earth. Moon Fire Farm was established in April 2008. For 2013 Moon Fire Farm is growing a diverse range of heirloom vegetables such as: spinach, swiss chard (2 varieties), lettuce, tomatoes (10 varieties), cucumbers, melons, carrots, radish, beets, leeks, onions (red and yellow), basil, garlic, squash, zucchini, rapini, beans (yellow, green and dragon beans), broccoli, cauliflower, potatoes, turnip, peas, cabbage, parsnips, peaches, fruit sourced from local suppliers and more. We also produce: Padula Pasta Sauce, Spicy Pickled Beans, Sweet Pickles,Jams and Jellies and more.

Another successful soup making day Hants West Food Action Council . Did you know that our soup help feed the homeless population a daily meal? We are the only food program in town that support their daily needs with a healthy, delicious, made from scratch soup.

Today we did 124 portions of cabbage rolls soup.

Finally the season of cooking is starting. Today we are preparing for the Valley W**e Festival this weekend in Wolfville.

Today we are cooking Moroccan lamb meatballs in spicy tomatoes sauce (Kefta Mkaoura). We are using local lamb from lamb cooperative.
