Meet Kasun Herath our Offsite Sales & Fulfilment Coordinator.

Kasun has been calling the Okanagan home for the past four years, and for him, it all comes down to three things: wine, lake, and pace of life. From waking up to Okanagan Lake views to enjoying fresh local fruit and exploring some of Canada’s best wineries, he says it never gets old. Each season brings something new—ski days in winter, cherry and apple picking in spring, lake life and camping all summer, and vineyard road trips in the fall.

Originally from Kandy, Sri Lanka, Kasun loves how Kelowna reminds him of home with its warm welcoming, peaceful and community-driven feel.

At Quails’ Gate, Kasun thrives as part of a passionate sales team focused on quality wine and customer experiences.

His favourite wine? Queue 🍷
A bold pick with rich blueberry and cocoa aromas, layered with dark berry flavours, black pepper, and a long, smooth finish. Bonus: it pairs perfectly with his (secret 👀) steak recipe.

When he’s not at work, you’ll likely find Kasun playing rugby with friends or heading out on long road trips with his favourite music.

Meet Nicole our Corporate Controller.

Nicole has been part of the Quails’ Gate team for nearly 15 years across two tenures, bringing a thoughtful, detail-driven approach to her role as Corporate Controller. With a background in IT, HR, and Finance, she’s found her true passion in finance.

She values the strong sense of team and shared purpose at Quails’ Gate—where collaboration, support, and connection are at the core. Being part of a family-owned company makes the work feel especially meaningful, with relationships at the heart of it all.

Having called the Okanagan home since 1992, Nicole enjoys everything the region has to offer—from quiet forest walks to kayaking on the lake. Outside of work, she finds joy in simple moments: reading a good mystery novel, tackling puzzles, baking, or playing games with her husband.

Her current favourite QG wine is the 2023 Reserve Old Vines Foch "When I first tried this wine, I was enamoured with the complex flavours!"

On Sunday mornings, you’ll find Nicole easing into the day with a simple brunch, trying out a new coffee, and settling in with a puzzle.
