Do you know how old your grocery store eggs are?

Typically it takes time for them to be prepped and transported.

A simple search says that they’re typically 4-6 weeks old before you even buy them.

Eating your eggs within the first few days of hatching gives you the biggest nutritional bang for your buck!!

Dave from HATCH A CHICK™ shared some knowledge on the viability and nutrient density of farm fresh eggs at the IPE in Armstrong this past weekend!!

Our overstock is now gone and we’re back to a waitlist.

ATTN Egg Customers!!!!

As you all know, we’ve had quite the wait list for the past month.

I have something exciting to share with all of you!!

Our chicken farmer is slowly getting back to normal after the Garnet Valley Fire and we have some new hens being added to the flock this week!

I anticipate that will increase our egg production within a week or two and we’ll be back to flowing more smoothly for September!

I also wanted to share that we will be away September 1-7

We will be at the IPE in Armstrong with our family business RHENWorks displaying our metal signs and taking custom orders!

If you’re planning to come to the IPE, come say hi!

This means that there will be no delivery available from September 1-7!

Be sure to let me know if you want eggs before then!

I might already have you on my list, but it’s better to be safe than sorry!!

Prayers have been answered

Rain dances, rain songs, ceremonies…

… so many beautiful offerings and tonight we received 🥹🙏💜

May these rains put out any wildfires that still burn!!

May they nourish Mama Earth!!

May they quench the thirst of all of the insects, animals, birds, plants and trees 🙏💜✨

It’s been a minute since we’ve done an update!

We’ve been busy making metal signs in our family business Ryan & Jennie Henderson and doing markets all over the Okanagan!

There’s a constant wait list for eggs these days, and the garden needs lots of attention.

But we’ve got lots of crops and apparently I can build a fence.

It may not be pretty, but it keeps the deer out 💁🏻‍♀️

The baby chicks got evicted today and my office got a deep clean!!

This is how we acclimate our baby chicks to the chicken coop so that when the time comes to free range,

They know the laying hens and their routine of heading out after lunch (after they’re done laying) and putting themselves to bed once it starts to get dark!!

Fingers crossed we’ve got all laying hens in this batch!!
