Happy Father’s Day from all of us at Natterjack Brewing Company! 🍻🐸

Today we raise a glass to all the dads, stepdads, grandpas, bonus dads, and father figures who have helped shape our lives. Thank you for the hard work, the laughs, the life lessons, and for always being there when it mattered most.

If you’re looking for a great way to celebrate, stop by the brewery! We’re open today from 12:00 PM to 5:00 PM with cold craft beer, a relaxed atmosphere, and plenty of cheers to go around.

We’ve got cold beer flowing beside the beer tent, including our Rosy Rhubarb inspired favourites! Huge thank you to John from Jonny Jr’s Fishing for an absolutely amazing morning on the water! 🎣🌊

We launched out around 7:30am and headed up toward the channel where Rondeau Bay meets Lake Erie. The water was sitting around 12–17 feet deep, and once we found the shelf… the fish were STACKED up!

The bite was on all morning long:
🐟 17 walleye kept — just one short of a 3-man limit!
🐊 3–4 pike, including a couple absolute monsters. One had some serious battle scars, both old and fresh!
🎣 A streak of absolute LUNKER largemouth bass… honestly if this was a bass tournament, we probably would’ve been heading home with first place money! 😂
🔥 A few smallmouth bass also joined the action
🐑 Plus a few sheephead mixed in for fun!

And then there was the ONE that got away… 👀

Something absolutely hammered the bait with the drag set low, and the rod started SCREAMING as line peeled out. Every head on the boat turned instantly! I was focused on tightening the drag, but it was too late and the hook never fully set. Whatever it was, it had some serious power behind it!

Everything was catch and release except for the walleye coming home for dinner!

If you’re looking for a great day on the bay with someone who knows the water, John absolutely put us on the fish today. Thanks again for the memories and the laughs out on the water!

🚨 Natterjack Scientific Breakthrough Alert 🚨

You may have noticed some suspicious new equipment on the counter lately…

After countless hours of research, development, and “quality control” (it’s a tough job), we’ve officially added a SLUSHIE MACHINE to the brewery! 🍧🐸

The left side is reserved for adults and will feature our famous Talbot Twisters malt seltzers in glorious slushie form.

The right side is for the kids because apparently the grown-ups don’t get to have ALL the fun.

Current kid-approved flavours:
🍒 Cherry
🍋 Lemon Lime

🎉 Kids’ 9 oz slushies are FREE! 🎉

Adult Talbot Twister slushies are the same price as our regular 16 oz pints, so you can upgrade your summer experience without upgrading your bill. 😎

Now, here’s where things get dangerous…

You can order a HALF & HALF.

That’s right. Mix flavours. Live recklessly. Ignore society’s expectations. Become the person your elementary school teacher warned everyone about.

A small note from the brewery scientists: our slushie machine can only produce so much frozen magic at once. If the patio is rocking and the place is packed, please be patient while we whip up another batch. Good things come to those who wait… especially frozen alcoholic beverages.

Stop in, cool off, and remember: growing old is mandatory, growing up is optional.

🏛️📜 TONIGHT IN TYRCONNELL 📜🏛️

The Elgin Historical Society has been preserving and sharing our local history since 1891, making it one of the oldest historical societies in Ontario. Dedicated to protecting and promoting the stories of St. Thomas, Elgin County, and the people who helped shape our communities, the Society continues to keep our local heritage alive for future generations.

Tonight at 7pm, join them for their annual graveside Toast to Colonel Thomas Talbot, commemorating his arrival at Port Talbot and the beginnings of the historic Talbot Settlement.

The ceremonial toast will be given by local historian and architectural preservationist Laurence Grant. Following the ceremony, everyone is invited across the road to the Backus-Page House Museum where Laurence will share stories of his journey through historic preservation — from living in Montreal in the 1970s, through his museum career, to his current restoration work on the historic Iona General Store.

Enjoy a ceremonial toast featuring Natterjack Brewing’s “Talbot Twisters,” brewed in memory of Colonel Thomas Talbot, whose settlement helped establish the very area where Natterjack Brewing now stands. 🍻
