𝐇𝐄𝐋𝐋𝐎 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔 𝐆𝐑𝐎𝐖𝐈𝐍𝐆 𝐒𝐄𝐀𝐒𝐎𝐍 🌽

Ok folks, the countdown is OFFICIALLY on! In roughly 90 days (mid-July) sweet corn season will be here 🥳🌽

With 2025 being the first year of the farm market for , we truly appreciate all the support towards locally grown produce. From our family to yours, we strive to grow high quality, fresh and delicious produce.

Now that the 2026 growing season is here, we wanted to show a glimpse of the “behind the scenes” here with sweet corn planting. On the farm, we utilize biodegradable plastic mulch on our early sweet corn acres. Why? The biodegradable plastic acts as an in-field greenhouse for the growing sweet corn crop. It allows the soil not only to retain moisture, but heat as well. This is critical for our early planted acres since Mother Nature can be a little unpredictable with the weather she sends our way. This biodegradable plastic mulch also acts as a barrier for any germinating weeds to prevent them from competing with the sweet corn crop.

𝐓𝐇𝐀𝐍𝐊𝐒𝐆𝐈𝐕𝐈𝐍𝐆 𝐖𝐄𝐄𝐊𝐄𝐍𝐃

As we head into Thanksgiving weekend, we wanted to express our thanks for everyone who came out and supported the farm stand this season! We are thrilled that it was so well received by the community - thank you, THANK YOU!

There are a few updates we would like to share with you:

🍁 Our final day of business for this season will be Monday, October 13th, 2025
🍁 We have limited supply of squash and pumpkins
🍁 While we have single sweet potatoes (jumbos and regular) available at the stand, we do also have 40 lb boxes available for purchase. Please contact Monika at 519-521-8457 if you are interested in some.

This week has signalled a shift of seasons on the farm. Our sweet corn crop has wrapped up, which means that the start of sweet potato season is here. This also means a shift in products available at the stand (swipe to see what we’ve said farewell to, what’s still available and what’s coming soon). Anyone else getting excited for all the fall goodies to come?!

If you’re also in need of some last minute produce today, the stand is open until 6 pm!

It’s never truly goodbye, it’s just a “see you next season” with sweet corn here on the farm. This time of the year always marks the wrap up of our sweet corn season.

With that, we will likely be finished our sweet corn season within the next few days. If you’re wanting to enjoy the last few days of sweet corn, here’s how:

𝐍𝐎𝐖 𝐓𝐀𝐊𝐈𝐍𝐆 𝐓𝐎𝐌𝐀𝐓𝐎 𝐎𝐑𝐃𝐄𝐑𝐒 🍅

Whether you’re a seasoned professional or just starting out in the world of canning, tomatoes offer an excellent base for many recipes - salsa, sauces, stews - the list is endless.

Our farm stand is stocked with tomatoes in quart and 3L sized baskets, but for those interested in larger quantities, please send in a DM with your name, type of tomato and quantity interested in (sold by the 1/2 bushel). Not sure if you’re ready to start canning? Not to worry! If Mother Nature plays nicely, tomatoes will be available for most of September (of course, subject to weather fluctuations).
