It’s hard to believe that 10 years have passed since the flash flood of 2016. We still remember that day and how quickly everything changed. The force of the water, the uncertainty, and the impact it had on our community are memories that have stayed with us.

What we remember most, though, is how people came together—neighbours helping neighbours, friends checking on one another, and our community supporting those who were affected. Ten years later, it remains a powerful reminder of both the force of nature and the strength of a community coming together 🫶🏻

* Previous grocery or retail experience is an asset, but not required

Responsibilities

* Stock and organize shelves
* Assist customers with their needs
* Maintain a clean and organized department
* Rotate and check products
* Help with general grocery store duties as required

A ‘friendlier’ PSA heading into the long weekend:

If you’re in, or pass through Westlock on the way to the lake, stop by Sobeys Westlock! The store is locally owned and *gives back to the community*, so I’m happy to give them a shout out here in return - especially for their bakery!! 🤤

They make their donuts fresh, in store. Not many places in Canada do this anymore. So good. So so good. And the garlic cheese bread…mmm.

They still had donuts available before lunch. Snag them before they’re gone. I hid the veggies from the photo, because veggies…blah.
