This is my other feed! More so for fun things around the farm, more involvement with the kids and reels. I hope you enjoy the extra information!

Let's face it, momming is hard enough without worrying about synthetic chemicals and toxins in all house hold cleaners.

I make many of our own cleaners, including Laundry Soap and Dishwasher Detergent! Not only is it simple (honestly, it is not hard or overwhelming), but it is also much cheaper. $34 worth of ingredients makes us $135 worth of laundry and dishwasher detergent! Today, I will share my recipe for Dishwasher Detergent!

- 1 cup of Borax (I use Simply Clean Pure Borax, $16.99)
- 1 cup of Washing Soda (I make my own from Baking Soda! Yes, I use the Arm and Hammer for cleaning products and Bob's Mill for eating. I will share another post on how I turn Baking Soda into Washing Soda! $4.69 for the big box at Costco)
- 1/2 cup salt ($0.50- ish of any cheap fine salt)
- 1/2 cup citric acid ($11.99 at Peavey Mart)
-10-15 drops of citrus essential oils (this is optional, but I use Orange Oil)

Mix gently in a jar, I put the lid on and gently roll it around. Do not breath in Washing Soda dust, as it isn't good for your lungs.

As 2026 begins, I am offering a new service: Farm Sitting!

From owning and operating my own farm, I am experienced in many different levels of homesteading and farming. Some of the areas I am experienced in, includes, but is not limited to;

- Basic Animal Husbandry
- Hand Milking Cows and Goats
- Bottle Feeding
- Using training techniques for difficult and hard to handle livestock and pets (including difficult dogs as I am a canine behaviorist).
- Cows, pigs, goats, horses, sheep, chickens, turkeys, ducks, livestock guardian dogs, cats and other pets.
- Can lift 100+ lbs
- Basic Machinery for feeding/bedding
- Garden and Fruit Tree Maintenance

Basic Charges:

One free Meet and Greet is included.

Starting for small farms (2x visits daily):

- Min. Charge $40/day within 15 minutes of PrairieTree Manor Farm (please view map for location)
- Min. Charge $50/day within 15-30 minutes of PrairieTree Manor Farm
- Min Charge $60/day within 30-45 minutes of PrairieTree Manor Farm

Each visit includes 30 minutes of basic care and operations. More visits to your farm can be made daily if needed. Extra Charges may apply for services such as:

- More than 2 visits per day
- Longer than 30 minutes of basic care
- Hand Milking (including processing/sanitizing equipment)
- Cleaning animal pens/bedding
- Operating equipment for feeding animals/bedding
- Special need animals/animal behaviour
- Harvesting gardens/fruit

My experienced, farm-hand helping son will be assisting me on all appropriate and safe jobs.

Stock your freezer! Pastured raised chickens are here in plenty! This year, I have grown enough for supply for my clientele throughout the winter, 280 chickens! First come first serve, deposits for hold are welcomed. Delivery included to Edmonton, Westlock, and St. Albert.

Pasture raised chicken $5.50/lb, 4 to 6 lbs.
