Wine writer set the scene for a wine that “refuses to behave as expected”, and Montonale’s Roberto Girelli brought the evidence to yesterday’s Destination Lugana event in London.

One out of three bottles are on show here, as the other two were lost “somewhere over the Adriatic”. This is probably the best excuse we have heard in a long time
