Riverside Grocery has been an independent, family owned and operated business since 1982. We have since evolved, and now strive to provide our community with an array of healthy, sustainable options. In addition to conventional grocery items, we also carry a wide selection of organic, vegan, fair trade, whole food and specialty items. Three generations of our family have worked in the store and ma

ny of our employees have been with us for more than 10 years. We aim to provide friendly and familiar, personalized service to Whitehorse. Make the most of BC grown peach and nectarine season!! 🍑🍑🍑 This easy summer crisp whips up in no time ☀️

Peach + Nectarine Crisp

Filling:

• ~10 ripe peaches + nectarines, sliced 

• Juice of a lemon

• Dash of cinnamon + cardamom

• 1/2 inch frozen ginger, grated

• Fresh mint, minced (optional)

Topping:

• 1/2 cup melt organic butter

• 1 cup brown sugar

• 1/2 cup flour

• 1 1/2 cups rolled oats

• 2 tsp cinnamon

• 1 tsp cardamom

• pinch of salt

Combine filling ingredients in a baking dish. Combine topping ingredients in a bowl and spread evenly over filling. Bake at 375°f until bubbling and golden, around 30 minutes. Serve with vanilla ice cream 🍑

Back in May we were honoured to host Kimmy, founder of ᴡʜɪsᴋ ᴘʀᴇᴍɪᴜᴍ ᴍᴀᴛᴄʜᴀ 🇨🇦 . We source our matcha for the café from Whisk Premium Matcha. Kimmy provided our baristas with a workshop on matcha history and preparation. We learned a lot and have been practicing what we learned all summer🍵🌞
