Every Child Matters. 🧡

Today we wear orange to honour the children who never returned home, the Survivors of residential schools, and the families and communities who continue to carry their impacts.

Tomorrow, September 30, Aroma Borealis will be closed in recognition of the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation.

We acknowledge and are grateful to live and work on Yukon First Nations lands and on the traditional territories of the Carcross/Tagish First Nation, Kwanlin Dün First Nation, and Ta’an Kwäch’än Council.

Today and every day, we continue to listen, learn and reflect. 🧡

Spooky season is slowly creeping into the shop 💀🍂

Even our skeletons are taking a moment to slow down and unwind.

These beeswax candles by Glowy are bringing a little spooky-season fun to the shop, and reminding us to stretch, breathe, make some tea and ease into fall. 🕯️🫖

A little Yukon plant goodness is back on our shelves 🌿

We’ve just restocked some beautiful work from local artist Maya Chartier of Akassiyah, including her Yukon Rare Plants colouring book and some of her colourful botanical sticker sheets.

Maya’s work brings together art, science and a love of northern plants, turning some of the Yukon’s fascinating flora into beautiful illustrations you can learn from, colour and enjoy.

We especially love how naturally her work fits here at Aroma celebrating many of the same northern plants that have been part of our world for so many years.

A lovely little Yukon-made gift, or something to keep for yourself. 🌼

Restocked now at Aroma Borealis.

From the wilds of the Yukon, inspired by Japanese tea tradition. 🌿🍵

We’re excited to introduce two new Yukon Roasted Teas to the shop!

Created here in Whitehorse by Yuta Sukeno, these teas bring together wild Yukon herbs and traditional Japanese Hojicha-style roasting techniques.

Yuta is no stranger to Aroma Borealis. He has been one of our longtime wild harvesters, gathering northern plants for us over the years, so if you’ve enjoyed some of our herbal teas before, you may have already enjoyed something Yuta helped harvest!

🌿 Roasted Labrador Tea
Roasting brings out a deep sweetness balanced by a light bitterness. Enjoy it hot or iced.

🌲 Roasted Spruce Tip Tea
Early spring spruce tips are roasted to create a bright, woody aroma with a crisp, smooth roasted flavour.

We love that these teas bring together Yuta’s knowledge of Yukon’s wild plants with a tea tradition from Japan and we’re very happy to have them on our shelves at Aroma Borealis.
