Hunting season has officially started! If you haven’t had a chance to get your hunting licence yet, we’re running a Hunter Education and Ethics Development (HEED) course in a few weeks.

Please keep in mind that our spots fill up very quickly, and we operate on a first-come, first-served basis. We can't wait to see everyone's moose, sheep, caribou, bison, and elk this year!
As usual, drop-offs will need to be scheduled ahead of time.
We also require your Yukon Environment ID number for drop-off, which you can find on your Harvest Report. For all First Nations hunters, this won't apply, but we will just need to jot down your Status Card number.

The Government of Yukon is offering a summer registration hunt for the Fortymile caribou herd from August 1 to September 9, or until the hunting threshold is met, in Game Management Subzones 3–01, 3–04 and a portion of 3–02, west of Browns Creek and Twelve Mile Creek.

Permits are available two business days in advance of the start of each hunt period on a first-come, first-served basis. For example, the August 1 permits will be available on July 30.

When our family first opened a retail butcher shop in Munich, Germany, back in the early 20th century, it was the start of something truly special. Back then, folks shopped daily at the farmers market since refrigeration and power weren't yet a thing. It was the beginning of a new era, and one that we're so proud to say lives on!
Being raised in this family, it’s been an incredible journey working in the world's oldest profession. As the 5th generation, we are absolutely thrilled to see the 6th generation stepping up to follow the calling. While our family's chapter in Germany came to a close in 2020, we are so grateful that our tradition can continue to thrive here in Canada and the Yukon. 🏔️
Thank you so much for all of your wonderful support this summer. We are really looking forward to a busy and exciting hunting season ahead! 🥩🍖
