Meet Bruce! While he likes to stay behind the scenes, he agreed to a little interview to share about what he does here at Bean North. Bruce is our master roaster and has been at our shop for over 20 years now. His experience is unparalleled. A decade ago he got to visit some of the farmers we source our coffee from. He watched as fathers and sons worked in the fields and carried the beans down the side of the mountain. He saw what fair wages meant to the community and families. He also got to learn what organic meant to the farmers- the safety it provided, the longevity it preserved in the soil.

Bruce is still here every week roasting our coffee, but to him, it’s about so much more than coffee. It’s about the people behind it. ❤️
