In February 2009, a group of dedicated foodies got together to think of a better way to provide healthy, ethical and responsible food for their families. As individuals, we all wanted to reduce our carbon footprint and had individually been working hard to find organic and natural food products from local and regional suppliers. Frustrated by all the hard work we were doing individually, we asked

ourselves if there was a better way. Our vision is to create a space where making sustainable food choices is as simple as placing an order. We want to provide organic food to Yukoners from the nearest sources possible, all year round. We operate as a co-operative, for-profit business. A co-operative is an organization owned by the members who use its services. Members invest in the business because they believe in its mission. We use a one-member one-vote system that allows members to become active agents in guiding the future of the organization. We now offer an online monthly food order for members.
