I want to take the time and say a huge thanks to everyone who continued to motivate me and push me to continue my rabbitry from mutts to silver fox then Dutch to New Zealand’s I loved every step of the journey and everyone I met along the way. Countless friendships built just over rabbits, I would never change a thing. I hope these friendships continue after taking a step away from the rabbitry world and focusing on more personal things.

We are hoping to still attend Farm Fair in November with Benji our Netherland dwarf. Look forward to seeing familiar faces and buns💞

I love seeing all the updates and photos from those who continue to reach out after purchasing rabbits from me.

Buns are gone except our two pets Bandit and Benji.
Now to start the big cleanup 😅 thanks to my mom we got some started yesterday, swept the floor and organized stuff. Next will be pulling cages out, pressure washing and cleaning the shed before I put everything back in for storage. Bandit will be getting moved to the shed closer to the house since he doesn’t need a huge shed to himself.

Big change but I already feel it was for the better.

First bun of the big downsize off to her new home 💞😢
I’d by lying if I said I didn’t cry, Saturday is going to be so hard when all 8 leave..
This year has just been so busy and I just don’t have the time they deserve. I think a break with just two pets will do me good. This isn’t the end just a break!

With the downsize I still wanted to be breeding the one of age doe Ill have left, she was born last October and just hasn’t been wanting bred but we finally got a breeding done today after she’s been so stubborn and won’t lift we got 2 fall offs today! Will try for more throughout the week.

These 3 will be the only New Zealand’s in our shed in about a month. We have decided to downsize due to how busy life has been, I feel I’m not giving them what they deserve.

This decision hasn’t been made easy. Been going back and forth for a bit if I want to keep them all or just a few. I personally think just a few will be what I need right now.

For anyone wanting babies from my lines they will be going to Krystal Van De Reep in Hixton BC as she bought some “pets” back in January and has fell in love with the breed, she bought more from me last month and can’t get enough of them. She will be breeding to ARBA standard and bettering the breed just as we were here at Hilltop Rabbitry.

We will still be breeding and bettering the breed just won’t be showing as much nor selling. I’m hoping downsizing will bring the joy back as this year has thrown so many curve balls. Benji and Bandit will still stay since they’re pets.
