The goats are SO excited for fresh forage. Rain or shine, they are making their way through baby aspen trees, baby thistle and everything else we don’t want growing! This area is already looking so much better and we can’t wait to see what it’ll look like in the fall and then next spring.

And that’s a wrap on another 4H year. Izzy’s steer came in 3rd in her category and had the second best rate of gain in our club, coming in at 1364 pounds, with a gain of 2.7 pounds/day! So proud of this kid.

Thank you SO much to all the amazing buyers who came out and purchased steers last night!! None of this would be possible without your amazing generosity.

Meet Bailey! He is a maremma and the newest addition to our LGD team. Bailey is only 12 weeks old so it’ll be quite some time before he’s out guarding the animals. So for now, he’s learning to walk on leash, learn his name, and meeting all the animals.
