And just like that strong independent woman determination creates a new winter goat pen, takes down the temporary chicken fence all while the sun disappears from the sky. So obviously sunset photos are a must!

The homestead life looks a little different these days but I’m happy to see all that I’ve accomplished the last couple weeks!

Photo for attention! These babies are adorable! Mama and bucklings are still looking for a new residence along with our pregnant Nubian/Nigerian cross. Kidding has commenced so it’s only a matter of time! 😅

ALSO!!! The farmstand has officially sold! And they are going to keep it looking the exact same as a she shed! I’m so happy that they aren’t going to be ripping it apart like some planned. 😬

Huge weight lifted off my shoulders! 🙌

McGiver would be proud! No shoot… no problem. Gates, triangles and bale twine! 😅🙌

Also my Matilda’s gone and I may have cried a little petting her nose in the trailer. But she’s going to do so good! 😭 and maybe I can go visit. 💔

Bittersweet goodbye today to my lemon of a cow. I’ve had Matilda for 2 years. I gave that cow so much TLC that now she’s spoiled rotten. She can be sweet and she can be spicy… she follows me everywhere or she decides I have nothing to offer her and walks away. She gets the zoomies, she runs and bucks and it reminds me of where she came from and how when I got her she could barely walk.

She gets to go be a nurse cow and live out her days with other cows. And I think she will really like that!
❤️ Definitely will be a sad goodbye!

Hey guys.

I just want to let you know I’m taking a step back from everything. I appreciate all your support. And maybe one day I’ll be able to have this little side hustle again. But for now it’s not what I need in my life. I’ll keep the page open and I’ll post when it’s the right time.

I need to go remember my “whys”. I have a family who needs me. ❤️

Take care everyone!

I just want to make an update.

This page will remain active, we will still have animals, there will still be shenanigans and silly animal adventures.

I’ll still be breeding and selling. But it will just be at a much lower capacity. I’m hoping still offer homesteading classes as much as I can.

It’s only the farmstand closing… I’ll still have my products available on my website. I can still take baking orders and we still have tons of eggs. Just reach out!

If you’re interested in what I’m doing during the winter months and in between the homesteading you can follow along!

Naturally, Darling Paramedical Tattooing

I’ll be finding a location to work out of and I’ll be taking bookings for November and offering introductory pricing for my first 20 clients.

I hope you’ll stick around.

**Edit the baby donkey has been spoken for.

Due to unforeseen circumstances…. I’m looking to rehome some doeling goats, and a couple does ready to kid soon. As well as a fainting buck.

There are 2 Nubian/Nigerian cross doelings turning a year old in a week and the does are a lamancha bred to a Nigerian dwarf buck and a Nigerian/nubian cross bred to a Nigerian dwarf buck both are 3.

I have 3 potbelly pigs I’m looking to rehome. 2 females (mother and daughter) and one boar.

Our baby donkey when she’s weaned in 2 months.

And a bunch of male ducks and a couple females.

And a breeding group of ring neck pheasants.

And my dairy cow. 8 year old Holstein, gave us 3 gallons of milk a day with a calf on her, so I put a second to help with the excess milk. She’s a great nurse cow takes babies with ease. Great mom to her own calf, calves super easy. All 4 quarters work. She does milk in a headgate, machine or hand milking. She does have a bit of attitude and did try and kick the machine off when we started milking her again after calving. But she eventually gets used to it. We do have an anti kick bar as well. A milk machine with new inflations and hoses.

She did have awful feet when I got her but with her yearly trims her one wonky claw is back to normal and looks great. She may need a trim in the next 6 months just to make sure they stay perfect!

She needed a lot of TLC when I got her new and o think she’s been a bit spoiled. She’s friendly enough. Will take treats out of your hand. Will follow you around especially with a bucket of grain. Loads into a shoot great, loads into the tipping table easily. She does not like being chased though. So patience is key.

She is confirmed pregnant and due to calve in November.

MSG me if you or anyone you know is interested. I’m not sure about prices but we can discuss.
